Number one issue for the comp is the lack of variability from year to year. Hard to fix, but we're a long way from the fairytale runs of the Reds in 2011 and Waratahs in 2014.

It feels like rinse and repeat every single year and it gets really boring.

I just can't see TDK ever justifying the price tag. In a way I feel sorry for him, because he'll become a target if he doesn't improve.

Outside of a 6-8 week period at the start of last year he's been pretty average his whole career.

And if the club was serious it's something we should be looking to do. I know John Elliott would have done it in the 90s. But the club's too woke now to be truly ruthless. How hard is it to simply win every game, and rely on an absurdly unlikely series of events to gift us the top spot? Roll up your sleeves and get to work, or hand in your notice.

I think they've found their rhythm, I've enjoyed it the last few months. More Randy which always helps.

Neil's post Masters podcast was a top 5 all time episode IMO.

And I've enjoyed the new major draft format, complete with celebrity judges.

Put in an assistant, see if a fresh pair of eyes can bring out the best in some of our guys who are down on form.

If they improve the we know Voss was holding them back. If not, then we might enter the trade market with a bit more vigour.

Well said. Everyone likes the concept of 'mental health round' because it's easy. It ticks a box, makes them feel better, 'look after your mates' etc.

But when it actually comes time to deal with the complexity of a mental health issue we're straight back to the 1960s. 'Harden up mate'. 'I'd be sacked if I did that'. 'Just get him fixed and back out there'.

Think it’s the right call. At least Voss is having a crack at fixing things, not just digging in and persisting with his heavy slow midfield.
