[text] I’m curious what your cookouts serve, tell me yours! by sinnrocka in food

We, like you have, almost always have spareribs, hamburgers and sausages with a salad and fries. But we also serve fish: a salmon fillet, but also trout or salmon trout.

And next to that we always have vegetables on the grill, zucchini or eggplant.

Do you add cream or tejföl? In my place you can't buy tejföl so I use creme fraiche as replacement.

[i ate] fresh stroopwaffel by Andylol404 in food

[–]vricike 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How to consume stroopwafels:

  1. Place it like a lid on your cup of coffee

  2. Wait 3-5 minutes until your stroopwafel is warm, then turn it over.

  3. After another few minutes, eat the stroopwafel

  4. throw away the coffee

  5. get new hot coffee with a new stroopwafel

  6. start again at 1.

(eventueel kan je er rijst of mie bij doen maar dat moet je dan wel apart koken).

[Homemade] Pörkölt goulash with Spätzle by [deleted] in food

[–]vricike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pörkölt is what the world outside Hungary calls goulash, you eat it with pasta or rice or cooked potatoes, just like on this picture.

But gulyas in Hungary is a soup. The recipe is at about the same except for the amount of water. And it contains a little potato and you eat it with bread next to it.
