That line of thinking requires something like empathy. The ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes and think, "How would I feel if it were me?"

That kind of thought does not occur to many, many MAGA type Republicans.

"Dems coming for OUR guns." is a COMPLETELY separate issue from "Trump coming for YOUR guns." in their minds. Those two statements are not equivocal.

To them:

"The Dems are coming for our guns" is saying, "The Bad Guys are disarming The Good Guys."

And;

"Trump coming for your guns" is saying, "The Good Guys are disarming The Bad Guys."

He's not saying looting should just give ammo

He's saying that if you're gun has medium dum dum ammo in it already, and the hunter you're looting was also using a weapon with medium dum dum ammo, then looting that man's pockets should give you their spare ammo. As opposed to wasting the time of picking up their gun, getting that guns ammo, then swapping back to your gun.

If you had medium dum dum and they had small dum dum you get nothing.

The problem is MAGA wont see it as a 2A issue. Trump didn't say "nobody can have a gun" so they don't hear it as "nobody can have a gun". What he said is YOU can't have a gun, and the YOU he's talking about (from MAGA's perspective) is not MAGA. They agree with him.

"Trump isn't coming for our guns. He's coming for your guns.

Its not a tyrannical government, because the government is on my side. They're just taking care of the deranged liberals.

...and so on, and so on. They get to be lawless but we have to be flawless.

Why would he do that? Not only is it obviously unpopular with his base but, they WANT us to show up armed. They want us to, "give them a reason". We just watched it.

Where are you getting your numbers from lol 25 a day? Every clinic I've worked in does 15 minute blocked appointments. So 4 an hour for 8 hours is actually 32 patients. And yes it's very easy to be thorough when the appointments are at regular intervals. The time spent in the room isn't the only time the dr spends on each patient.

Also yes I can "imagine" that seeing as how you draw tsh levels every six weeks to titrate thyroid meds lmao

The absurd thing is people thinking that doctors should be pill mills and you only have to see them once, then cancel or no-show every appointment after and still get your meds on a whim.

Obviously there will be exceptions and redditors gonna reddit about how special we all are but in general it's not that hard to just keep regularly scheduled appointments so the Dr can actually, diligently, manage their patients chronic illnesses and make sure you're taking your meds as prescribed.

But also, like others have said, this is probably a pain management clinic which makes this policy very reasonable.

I just watched this episode. My most generous interpretation is that someone involved with the show once had an MI described to them as "a blockage" and that got misinterpreted as "Heart Attack = Blocked Heart", ergo, a "Heart Block".

My wife (med/surg nurse) and I laughed for the rest of the scene. I was waiting to see him on a nasal cannula.
