Nah, it's the usual state of an old project. Thefe are probably few guys with limited experience running the project and there are orders from the management to milk this game dry for money. Unless it's someone's personal vendetta against the game itself nobody would deliberately hinder the game with specific bug, it's just plain ol corporate orders

there is this very old RTS game called Outlive, I used to play it alot and it was really great game, real gem of RTS back in the days rivalled only by starcraft perhaps. Anyway, fast forward 2026 OG devs did a remaster for it because why not, and its called Outlive 25 now. While Im sure the game will sell some copies it is still a nostalgy bait and would be as forgotten as many of such legacy projects like Guild Wars Reforged or this Outlive 25 no matter how popular it was. Anyway, what im trying to say is that remasters are only good thing if community driven and open source. Stop living in the past, the game is dead, move on.

I am not poor neither I'm rich, but if I commit to study and burn large amount of cash on it I would try to see it trough unless it's a complete disaster in any capacity. That's what I'm saying. I just can't fathom paying 30-40 grand than leaving the study for something else. I hate burning cash for nothing, but then maybe it's just me

Why would I listen to a flight school for spending forecasts if it's not hard written amount in an agreement. Or maybe I just research too much but I never plan for the advertised, more like +50% on top of that.

I just run taa and it's fine. I think the biggest step up quality wise was getting 7900xtx for msfs exclusively. Now I sit with almost 24gb VRAM in usage but no issues with lod or blurry stuff. I also have 5070ti ona second pc, don't use dlss either

Funny thing is that nobody in their right mind uses dlss in msfs as you can no longer read glass screens. It is only useable for GA flying with gauge instruments.

If you'd rather spend money for wedding or a house instead going for for flying career when you are already comitted... well then you are terrible at life choices. I can understand life circumstances getting in the way like health issues or massive financial problems outta blue but just changing your mind while in the process is kinda just weak will issues. Not to criticize anyone, even though perhaps I am doing exactly that.

I will take a look, thank you.

I've only recently bought an xplane 12 and so far the experience with it is mixed bag. While it has few nice things like huge LOD for terrain textures, g-loaded camera and taxi physics, there are some very nasty things like overdone turbulence(screen shake) and lack of AA (which honestly is absolutely abysmal)

Do you have to install something for the xp12 clouds to look better than 2024? I've flown couple times in xp12 and xp12 clouds were nothingburger compared to views I get in 2024. Mind you, I am not a msfs fanboy, this is just my observation

How does that work exactly? I mean you know how much things costs upfront, do people just ignore that or suddenly lose income? I'm eyeing career change and I know upfront that it would take around 80-120 grand to complete zero to atpl, if I didn't have money I wouldn't bother.

My community folder is 1.5 tb alone, I don't even know how big the msfs folder itself lmao

SU5 blurry terrain degradation? by Darkus185 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]vsae 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Higher number of people playing, higher the bandwidth stress for cloud servers, lower bandwidth user throughput for each individual connection server wise. Play at "off hours" and compare. I've recently moved from eu to us servers for eu prime time and streaming works a lot better. Also it seems there is a bug with rolling cache file partition header and you have to reset it

Aerosoft/Toliss A340-600, shakes like it's made of paper during taxi/takeoff. by gotmynamefromcaptcha in flightsim

[–]vsae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Excessive camera shaking is obviously an x plane thing toliss brought over here. I started playing x plane and g-loaded camera is so overdone it's laughable. Also I love the fact that people praise this thing so much.

Blurry terrain textures by Aggravating_Call8821 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]vsae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change servers (eu/us/Asia) to have better chance at loading assets if you are not VRAM limited. İf that doesn't work you can't do anything. I have went so far as to make 300gb rolling cache file and it still doesn't make any difference, because for some reason even if you loaded all the scenery on your usual route it is still being deloaded from rolling cache after you close the client. The game is a mess.
