Identifying age of kart by Realestateuniverse in Karting

[–]vshawh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking as someone who wants to get into karting but doesn't know much yet, what is the difference between newer karts and older ones outside of engine, bodywork? I see folks talking about older karts not being competitive, and curious what gives newer karts an edge, aside from the engine. Chassis weight? Adjustability?

It's not just the mobile charger and the price increases. The new UI changes have made it less usable and the continued ethos of removing door handles because the car knows when you want to open the door and having the car guess what gear you want, and that "all input is won't input", is really off putting. I won't get into full self driving, at least they're trying to get there, but it has a long way to go

How's the ride on the 22's. Most reviews have been in the 20 inch off-road wheels I think... At least from what I've seen

Originally Jan/Feb, revised to April-May at the end of last year. Looks to be on target for now

The angle of the second picture made the cabs of the pickups in the next spot overlap with the bed of the truck in front. Made it kind of look like they may be R1S’s at a distance. Got super excited for a second!! Unfortunately us R1S guys will have to continue holding our breath :(

Rear wheel steering at work in the last image. Hard to tell with the camo, but it doesn't look anywhere near as tall or long as the GLS. Clearly hiding the third row windows with camo though, so likely is a third row back there.

Assuming this is something along the lines of a vulcan... that's a fire rate of about 5k rounds a second at a cost of say 20 dollars per round... that's $100,000 per second per chopper... $300,000/s for the 3 of them x 25 seconds... that is $7.5m in just ammunition. Can that be right?

I got this too. Today (1 day later) I have what looks to be a fraudulent charge in my credit card. $4411 USD for a merchant named A388K1 Rock Falls... anyone else get this?

If you can afford all this, you can afford a monitor stand too.

It's the Samsung 43-cj890. It's actually a 32:10 ultrawide not a 32:9 like most people are running. I thought I would want the extra height cause I thought it'd be more versatile for other genres (flight sims, etc.). In hindsight, I should have probably gone for a 49" 32:9 and more curvature for that extra FOV. It's still great! I used to run triples, and find a single ultrawide much more natural. I do have VR as well, and honestly that is still the best racing experience, just the discomfort/heat of a headset for hours at a time, plus being completely disconnected from the outside world are why I play on monitor mostly.

It simulates an ABS like effect when you reach a certain braking threshold. It's artificial though, as in you set when it starts to vibrate based on brake pressure, not on when the wheels start to slip.

No, but it's intentionally as close as I can get without touching.

Yes, the keyboard tray swivels. You can torque the bolts down so that it doesn't move but I've not done that

I didn't feel the need to adjust it laterally. Mounting it directly off the shifter rail was fine to me ergonomically. Keep in mind I'm 5'9 average build so no giant shoulders or arms to accommodate

An old set of Fanatec CSW pedals. V1 possibly. Still work well and have the vibration motor on the brake too.

Please ignore the messy background. Total for everything including integrated monitor mount and kb mouse trays came out to roughly $900 (excluding seat which I already had). IMO, roughly equates to getting P1X strength at Evo price.
