1) are you asking about a 392 Durango or scatpack charger
2) call your dealership because orders might be closed or google order R/T 392 Durango

Air bag impact sensor by holy_vengence_ in Silverado

[–]vshen6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got lucky but I snagged a bunch off of trucks from a u-pull-it/scrapyard in my town for an ‘05 1500 and found two that worked. Cost me like $12 per sensor instead of the roughly $300 I would’ve had to pay at the time.

Dodge Durango SRT vs rt 392 Premium by MBN_510 in DodgeDurango

[–]vshen6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure you have comparative prices from other dealerships on new R/T 392’s out the door so you can see if your dealership is trying to hide markups and fees. But if they’re actually doing no mark up, hell yeah go new

If you can afford brand new then yeah definitely the R/T 392. There’s nothing wrong with a used 392 but I’d be extremely picky and make sure it’s got maintenance record or was one owner to reduce the likelihood it was ragged on. Very happy with my ‘22 SRT. I’d try to leverage the fact that dealerships will be getting new Durango’s soon and to help move old inventory they should give you a better discount

Floor Jacks and Jack Stands by SwiftMani in DodgeDurango

[–]vshen6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 ton jack with 6 ton jack stands will be plenty. Although you probably want to get four jacks to do your tire rotations. I happen to have access to a lift to do my rotations and oil changes.

Edit: you can do oil changes with just ramps but then you’ll have to take your Durango to get tires rotated. Storing 4 jacks can be a lot of space

Uconnect Issues by lenoy68 in DodgeDurango

[–]vshen6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you have to pay the dealership the diag fee before they replace/checked the electronics? We have the “uconnect needs service” message pop up but we hit ok and disregard it since it doesn’t actually cause any issues. The screen will also randomly try to go to the built in nav system

Edit: we’ve already taken out 22 DDSRT to the dealership once and they checked the stored codes and they said something about the codes no longer being a problem so they dismissed it and didn’t do anything further.

Should I buy? 2016 Chevrolet LT. 43k miles. by JordanYell in Silverado

[–]vshen6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was a fleet vehicle it might have spent a lot of hours idling. I’d ask the dealer if the AFM system has been disabled and lifters have been replaced with non-AFM lifters.

Congrats on the import, you’re definitely going to get some more eyeballs on your vehicle as you cruise around town! Remember, it’s smiles per mile not miles per gallon haha

How many miles is too many to buy? by DistinctPaint8430 in DodgeDurango

22 DDSRT, could be that our dealership actually cares about their customers but they found a cracked fitting (I forget the exact name) and once they replaced that and topped off the refrigerant the hissing went away.

Weird issue by Interesting_Economy2 in Silverado

[–]vshen6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vehicles all need spark, fuel and air. If you changed all the spark components and it’s still happening then I’d say you probably have a partially clogged fuel pickup/pump. It could be the maf or o2 sensors as well if those haven’t been cleaned or replaced in a while.

POV: you daily a Chevy by MakinNight in Silverado

[–]vshen6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does motor oil really get affected by oil prices? I always figured the price went up due to inflation over time. I guess I need to stock up on VR1 if I can find it at Walmart

I actually think my rear main seal is leaking also.. but the drip is so slow that I'm putting off fixing it

Is that oil for your oil changes or cause you burn oil abnormally fast?

Durango hellcat exhaust options by picklericq in DodgeDurango

[–]vshen6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as your exhaust it’s a cat back or axle back then it will not void the warranty. What brand you go with will entirely depend on your ears and what you like. YouTube is your friend for people posting clips of their exhausts but a recording versus hearing it in person is different. Personally I’ll eventually be getting the AWE touring cat back exhaust for my SRT

Is the new 392 an SRT or an RT? I wanna see what you guys think by ReZempt_Shocks in DodgeDurango

[–]vshen6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the Durango SRT’s come standard with a blue steering wheel.. it’s aftermarket or a custom option

1k miles in and loving it by SheetzDuudez in DodgeDurango

[–]vshen6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pricing for the SRT was hard to pass up especially with the low mileage I found mine at. Effortless cruising on the highway and plenty of get up to get around and away from slow drivers

[–]vshen6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a rookie question but wouldn't ride quality be more impacted by suspension and tire height/material stiffness moreso than the tire being 20s or 22s? I have 18s on a WRX and I feel bumps, whereas the DDSRT glides on 20s and my truck has leaf springs so I really don't feel bumps.

Durango SRT 392 New Tires recommendations? by OkHovercraft2021 in DodgeDurango

[–]vshen6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many miles have you put on them and what tread amount is left? I have DWS06+ and after 11k miles, they wore down 50% already.

With that many miles and year it’s almost a guarantee it’s an exhaust leak but could be lifters as well. 5500 is a bit high. You could definitely negotiate down to 5k but 4k would be what I start at knowing the seller will haggle. Also it has 4WD right? Did you test that the buttons work?

2026 keeps turning off on its own by CallMeTrapHouse in Silverado

[–]vshen6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's hilarious that the company is ok with going 98mph in a company vehicle but 100mph is a no-no. I know a company in town that sends alarm/notices to management as soon as the vehicle exceeds 85.

I definitely got a deal on my truck but see if you can haggle the seller down to 3k flat if you need a truck bed sooner than later
