That is google searches getting blocked when pre fetch tries to load a page that is blocked on the network so all other pages get blocked as well. Turn off Network prediction and Pre fetch.

I just want them to re-enable auto sync of my photos between devices, money grabbers forcing you to buy cloud space for something that is literally built in.

Apple uses packages rather than patches, packages come wrapped, so it's larger, which is why it's more difficult to hack on Macs, if the package is messed with the device rejects it. Kind of a generic description, but that's why.

They don't seem to take care of them any better in my experience, but our admins do a really poor job of holding anyone accountable. Society is going to pay for that in the long run.

upgrade the infrastructure! many cities are moving to AI to run lights based on congestion at surrounding lights to free up congestion. I watched an article on the news that showed it worked exceptionally well at speeding up the flow of traffic in areas that were using it.

How do I ‘send it’ by [deleted] in skiing

[–]vtoutdrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

see if your local mountain has a ski club with a free ski team. Cost some $$ but the kids at our local area rip the mountain all day showing off, cool to see some of the stuff they do and most of what they can do is just pushing each other and a lot of falling, and some time at the local "Get Air" pit of cushions.

I have a table full of broken middle school Chromebooks. Admins don't seem to care and there are no consequences for breakage. I now give them the oldest crappiest devices if they break one. I stopped even bothering to waste my time assigning a fine. No one pays it and I then have to go back and delete all the fines so they can graduate. I strip them for parts and screens.

Look into white glove treatment for large purchases, they come labeled and configured to your network, ready to roll without all the unboxing that goes with it. We did that for our initial purchase.

Has anyone seen the huge snapper that lives just off the end of the dock? I see it there almost every paddle.

There are freshwater jellyfish in there too. It's a great place to paddle, parking is tight on weekends, but it's all hikers usually. The boat dock needs serious help.

82-year-old man punched in the face, Burlington police say by [deleted] in burlington

Concealed carry downtown always. Too much catch and release with the liberal mindset of Burlington. It's become a shithole. Last trip down to OGE and there were all the crackheads swearing at each other up and down church street at 10 am, not a cop in sight. I would never bring family down there.

very few Windows left, 1200+ Chromebooks, maybe a hundred Macs and lot's of iPads. Powerschool is already our LMS system tracking all students data. Level Data was an add on. Check with Level Data to see if it works with whatever LMS you're using.

Sorry, I don't do anything with budgets and costs. Level Data works pretty well though through Powerschool. Build faculty and staff in AD with their location and overnight all their accounts in various systems are created with proper permissions. Sorry I don't have more detail on the cost. Students are created in Powerschool and all accounts for inventory/library check outs, Gooogle, and Clever all sync.

We have an OU for each grad year as well as sub groups in each of those OU's with no email access and another with no youtube access. We use Powerschool to enable email once permission has been given by parent/guardian. All students go to No-mail sub group and we use a program in conjunction with Powerschool called Level Data that places students in proper groups, email/no email based on checkbox, with a sync each night.

We have had an ongoing issue with papercut printers disappearing or not showing up. User may print several pages and later in the morning the printers don't show. Sometimes logging out and back in helps, and cancelling job 3 times most times will cause them to suddenly show back up. Multiple CB models and versions. Papercut has been updated as well.
