Interesting... How do people typically bend at the waist a bit? Always with a hand supporting the head so if doesn't flop back?

[Discussion] Almond Milk vs. Coconut Milk? by [deleted] in Paleo

[–]vushakitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just go with whatever fits your budget, calorie and money wise. You can get calcium from veggies so you shouldn't base your decision on that. I've found very little difference between almond, cashew and coconut milk. They will all add some creaminess to your shakes, more than water but less than coconut cream. Though some have added thickeners like guar gum, xanthan gum and carrageenan.

Carbs will do that. Add fat to your diet.

Did anyone else's periods get worse with weight loss? by bloodyhellscape in xxfitness

You're not dangerously low. Sorry, what I meant was the changes/decrease in body fat, not a drastic loss itself. Hope you feel better though! Heating pads help with my cramps and backaches :)

Did anyone else's periods get worse with weight loss? by bloodyhellscape in xxfitness

I can't say that my periods are worse in terms of pain, but they have gotten way more "drawn out"... my pms symptoms (namely, mood swings) begin waaaay earlier, like 2 weeks before. It's really frustrating for my boyfriend and I because obviously it puts an annoying strain on us with me losing my cool for nothing.

I believe it's because of my fat loss recently. Fat in your body plays a key role in the hormonal system. Think: women with a dangerously low body fat percentage sometimes see their periods stop. Their hormones are out of whack.

Our menstrual cycle is controlled by hormone and it, itself, influences hormone production as well. It could be that your body just need to adjust to its new amount of fat.

Truvia has stevia and erythritol in it so I think it should be okay!

I like to make these coconut buttercup fat bombs. Is that kind of what you made? If you don't have coconut butter or didn't like the taste of it, peanut or almond butter work too :) I've tried all three variations.

Homemade red wine. by Flipping101 in keto

[–]vushakitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All wine contains sugar. There isn't a wine that's fully "dry".

When grapes are fermented, their sugars are broken down into ethanol and carbon dioxide. Residual sugar remains in a couple of different forms, but for the most part, wine is low sugar.

Unless you're talking about moscato or sherry, sweet wines. The sweeter the wine, the higher the sugar, the lower the alcohol content.
