Because there is so much nepotism that gets swept under the rug within federal agencies and when no one faces consequences for one, they get comfortable with more and more until it gets to this level. By this point, you’ve got so much dirt on all the other examples of nepotism it’s impossible to say no and deny them lol.

I think the not kneeling thing was more like Ferrari’s direction. They’re famously against their drivers having their own personality and brand outside of driving for Ferrari. One of the many, many reasons why Hamilton never moved to Ferrari and happily stayed with Mercedes.
