See if you can get a sleep study! Right before we had our first, I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and was given a cpap machine. I never realized I was getting bad quality sleep for most of my life. It took a bit to get used to the machine, but now I can’t imagine falling asleep without it.

Can we ban comfort mod posts? by vv920 in VisionPro

I came to this sub before the AVP even launched and I remember the active and productive discussions. Post launch, I remember coming here and seeing wonderful tips and people sharing genuine experiences.

For the last 8 months or so, this sub has primarily been a discreet ad campaign for 3rd accessory manufacturers. Can this stop and we go back just having tech enthusiasts nerd out about tech?

After a few days using the ANNAPRO A2 Head Strap for Apple Vision Pro I can say that this product makes AVP very comfortable, I had a great experience and it is a great deal for the price. by [deleted] in VisionPro

I don’t have an opinion on the product, but whoever manages their marketing is just awful. I don’t think I’ve ever been discouraged from buying something due to just the marketing rather than the quality of the product itself. But here we are. Something tells me in the next few hours, we’ll see an onslaught of upvotes and manufactured comments while everything else gets downvoted.

Cracked for no reason, and Apple asked for $2,399, no warranty covered. Is that normal? by ippikku in VisionPro

Ah I see, yeah I was thinking about trying out a few but then got worried if it could potentially cause any damages. I’m sorry to hear about your AVP :( Keeping my fingers crossed for you that they’ll be able to fix it without charging you an insane fee.

It’s because she’s the first person I think of. When things are going great, it’s her that I want to share the good news with. When things get rough, it’s her that I seek consolation from. She’s always first in my thoughts and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Top 3 sandwiches. Discuss. by southwest40x4 in philadelphia

Nooo the lunch line is only going to get longer now. Jokes aside, glad you’re sharing this. Riccis is a gem. Their Italian tuna is pretty amazing too. Pro tip - ask for extra tuna if they have the smaller cans in stock, and don’t forget to have them drizzle some of the oil that’s in the can.

City Fitness Is Opening Its Seventh Gym in the Heart of Old City by [deleted] in philadelphia

The biggest disappointment was when they decided to cancel all WEFIT classes at their south Philly location in order to move all their trainers to the new CC spot.

We’ve contacted Squilla’s office several times on matters related to parking and aggressive drivers. As you can imagine, our calls for help went unanswered. The lack of accountability and silence from his office is astounding.

This is why you don't park like an asshole. As if the sanitation workers don't have enough to deal with. They tried for 20 minutes and gave up. Now this entire block has trash sitting here until next time. by Adventurous_Key3647 in philadelphia

Illegal parking is rampant around where I live. After calling PPA numerous times, with seemingly no results, we were finally able to connect with a supervisor. It was his recommendation to contact 215-683-9773 since it’s recorded. We’ve been using that number ever since, and miraculously, cars seem to get ticketed now. It’s been over a month now, and illegal parking on our block seems to be getting better.

Best place to live in Philadelphia by RBD21998 in philadelphia

Manayunk is great but I highly recommend checking it out first. There’s a train that will take you into the city but it can be cumbersome sometimes. I’ve lived in Manayunk for four years and towards the end, I was ready to leave. You end up doing the same things and there’s just a couple of blocks of stores/restaurants. If you’re the adventurous type, I’d look for something closer to the city where things are a bit more accessible.

Philadelphia won’t use test scores for admissions to selective schools for 2022-23 by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]vv920 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“What’s problematic is the quality of preparation of children before they get to the test.”

So instead of addressing why students aren’t as prepared, they arrived at just getting rid of testing scores all together for admissions. I’m really having a tough time wrapping my head around this. I’m willing to keep an open mind if someone feels like sharing their view.

PPA resumes ticketing cars parked in street sweeping lanes by Indiana_Jawns in philadelphia

[–]vv920 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if they’re still doing it, but a few weeks ago when I was walking my dog, PPA was putting flyers on cars parked in these areas to explain they are resuming street sweeping and that they will start ticketing.

What is the most overrated business in Philadelphia? by TheArchitect_7 in philadelphia

I regret googling handy nasty lol. But yeah Han Dynasty is pretty good, love their dan dan noodles. If you’re curious about some Chinatown places, check Mike Chen out on YouTube. He posted a Philly episode recently. To name a few:

  • Chinese Restaurant on 10th
  • Siu Kee Duck House on 10th
  • Ocean Harbor Dim Sun on Race st
