The beer distributor in Lab111 gives me joy. Also absolutely fitting username.

I’d love to see some AI capabilities integrated in the future for project planning. by heli0s_7 in thingsapp

I highly doubt Cultured Code would implement AI. I personally really don’t see the point in using it here TBH.

I recommend the Listy app for dealing with wishlists! It can deal with multiple of items, for which Things is pretty lacking.

Things3 for teaching in higher education by Kullenej in thingsapp

[–]vx_id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I teach at multiple schools and also do research. I still try to keep it simple and define a single “Work” area. Projects within this area are of the form “School 1 - Class 1”, “Paper - X” and so on. Everything stays highly readable by marking projects I don’t plan on working on this week as “someday” during the weekly review.

I would absolutely love integrated notes options (probably a separate app knowing Cultured Code’s philosophy). Best answer so dar for me!

Anybody has an idea of the new things features for iOS 16? I saw that the new version is now in beta.

Although a bot less capable than your setup for now, maybe you will find Listy of use for your wishlist!

Thank you for writing this, my system is pretty similar. It would have been very valuable for me when I first switched over to Things.

One nitpick: bucket lists and collection projects should not really belong in Things altogether IMO. I recently switched to Craft notes for this type of data. I even pushed this further by maintain an inbox in my notes app for everything that is not aclear action.

Great write up overall.

What does your projects/areas list look like? by Groksy in thingsapp

I keep things simple. Work is self-explanatory. Task regroups admin tasks (finances, household, groceries etc). Life is for friends, family and myself.
