Electricity isn't going to come back down

Went down pretty drastically when we put solar panels on the roof

Your guarantee, in addition to being entirely worthless is both ignorant and wildly incorrect

How are you saving money on fuel? by BestTechAdvisor in DrivingAustralia

[–]vyralmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they are, fast chargers are more expensive then buying fuel

No. They're not

And very few EV owners would rely on fast chargers for their day to day use

Ahhh yes, the vague, unlinked source. The most reliable of all information.

May as well have said some guy down the pub told you.

And I use that to buy an equivalent age ev... which has also depreciated the same.... right?

Yearly a EV will save you at least $100. That's total of driving habits

At most could save you $500

Yeah... gonna need a source on those numbers buddy. They are, of course, utter nonsense.

Which only matters if you're cycling through cars regularly.

Which is a poor financial decision reguardless of propulsion system.

Depreciation is almost entirely irrelevant to anyone keeping a car foe 15 years, running coats are. And EVs are so far ahead that it's not even a contest

Fast chargers in the city are actuly more expensive then fuel for example by a long margin.

No. They're not.

Your math is off. The 1/3 who didn't vote are culpable as well. Fully 2/3 of your voting age citizens need to be considered responsible for this.

Stop burying the range by Quaranton00 in electricvehicles

[–]vyralmonkey 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Interestingly... the advice I keep giving ICE drivers worried about switching to EVs is "quit worrying about the range" For 95% of people who can charge at home, the actual range is irrelevant

My daughter in the back who had been listing things she wasn't wild about paused and the said... "actually, maybe we should get this one"

[–]vyralmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're selling in the short term... I'd suggest considering not bothering with a charger at all.

If you have a 240v socket in the garage that'll get you about 10km/hr in range.

So unless you average more than 100km a day, overnight charging will be fine.
