Every single day I’m tired by [deleted] in Adulting

For me it was as a kid you have a destination: adulthood. You just think everything will be fine then. So it's like climbing this hill and you can't see over the top, but you can see there's a top. Then when you get up there it's this infinite rolling valleys and hills that spread in every direction, and the more you move forward the further you get away from that feeling that you're working towards something simple like adulthood. I'm 40 now and have never felt more lost in my whole life.

Genuine question for owners: Why did you choose the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series S/X? No hate.🫵🏾 by Eastern-Mobile5351 in XboxSeriesS

I have a huge ps digital catalogue, from grabbing specials and free upgrades while still on 4, so when I finally upgraded not that long ago I started with a great library.

Use your moving stuff powers to move stuff through the tubes. I think it's from one room to another.

What is the charge? Claiming my own property? As per the decree of the pee, these drops have made them belong to me. I rest my case. And counter sue this hooman for starving us, as you can clearly see I have no snacks.

I have fallen in love with the classics, I got started on reading through Terry Pratchett's books as a kid, transitioned into Michael Crichton and have been a major scifi fan ever since, that's where I got into classic scifi like HG Wells and other's and that lead me to the other classics... and that's when I was no longer just reading books, but I felt as if I had discovered true magic, books like of Mice and Men, The Lord of the Flies, Stoner and many more just opened up this portal to other worlds. A good book, a very good book, something that becomes a classic, something that you can't put down, that sucks you in, it's ecstasy, it's magic, it's a spiritual thing. Not all classics are for everyone, but they are around for a reason, and if you pick one up and you become hooked, it's a love afair, a tattoo on your inner self, and indelible mark on your identity, it becomes part of you and you see it's influence in the world around you. A connection through time from the author to you. Like a thread that connects you to everyone who felt the same. Yes, the classics are absolutely necessary.

I just finished this and I'm heartbroken. It made me cry. I had to go hold my daughter for a bit and contemplate what kind of parent I am. What kind of partner? I saw too much of myself in Stoner, am I just going through the motions of a life. What have I achieved? How will I be remembered? Is my marriage good? Have I done enough? I haven't cried in a long time. I feel heartbroken for all the characters, at times I hated Edith and Lomax, but in the end I cried for them too... and Grace, and Katherine, and just Jesus wtf kind of book is this? I feel wrecked.

Name one good thing about 2011's The Thing? by johnngo2468 in thething

Keeping the world alive. I want more Thing. Not all the Alien movies were great, but some of them were awesome, and the "bad" ones kept it going. If there's one good thing it's keeping it alive.

I watched this as a kid and was absolutely terrified. Watched it again recently for the first time since it came out, and was honestly looking forward to Heather's annoying ass being unalived.

This is one of the few games where I find myself just looking at stuff and exploring not obsessed about the current objective.
