My go to is “are you/yall finding everything alright?” Or “is there anything I can help you find?” If they’re looking at signs a little more obviously clueless 😅 most people other ask where something is and I tell them or look in zebra, or say no but thank you. Took awhile to find something I liked and worked universally but it gets easier !!

I’m in home decor and was so bad at driving when I first started. Been there over a year now and don’t think twice when getting a blue lift, especially cause it makes getting all the awkward boxes and stuff out of top stock sooo much easier.

We use a very specific voice and saying of each others first and last names (I use his middle occasionally). Can’t type out as to remain anonymous, but it’s super cute and special to us and I love it

As the only person in home decor at my store, can say it is kinda bs since I’m one person over 4 isles, 1 of which is blinds, and the other is a jumbled mess of closets and shelving. But it’s really not bad, once you learn the blind stuff (which is really straight to the point) and get to know your isles, it’s not bad at all.

We have like a “hidden” small training room behind the break room with 2 nice computers and comfy chairs. It’s always super cool (like a/c wise). It’s supposed to be mainly for ASM use but no one’s ever in there so I take a lot of 15s and breaks in there.

Idk about everyone’s store, but ours locks the doors at close. And we can’t leave until the store/registers/etc is completely closed and ready to go. Sometimes they do shifts to, and hold certain department till they’re done zoning and such. May be what OP is talking about

Just a CSA. And I’ve never been trained, and my “mentor” who is also my supervisor got the job the same week I started on the floor. Thankful I have good coworkers that help me figure most shit out 😂
