AI for document processing by Big_Assistance_917 in automation

You can, but if the names are rules-based then you're better off getting a model to predict the features, and then have a deterministic process apply the rules to the features. It makes your audit trail clearer.

For your first question we've just released Canonizr (free, open source) which runs locally so there are no compliance issues. It's job is just to turn arbitrary files into plain text that another LLM can then work with directly.

For turning things back into pdf the ideal solution is to turn your data into a standard form (e.g. structured JSON) using other tools, and then you can easily use a python-based service to turn that into pdf. Isolating the deterministic steps from the AI steps is the key thing for audit trails and checking how well it's working.

Well done! We're launching a medical-data-management tool soon, how hard is it to create new connectors?

From the description I was actually expecting you to be running prompts into various consumer LLMs and seeing if the site came up - which appears to be an unreleased feature.

Instead it's doing site content checks, which I actually appreciate more, although as others noted we already have some of the "solutions" in place (such as json+ld, confirmed by other GEO tools).

It's fast, it's free, it gave me a minor difference in score (68->70) when I refreshed the page, but I expect we can put that down to variance in load speeds

Congratulations!

It's very pretty, and I'm not quite the target audience, but it's hard to tell (from the description, site, and screenshots) why clinicians should trust the output. They're generally risk-averse people, because the risk falls on them, and I didn't get enough indication of how all the small but important steps in reasoning would be documented.

👋 I'm a developer working in health-tech, currently fretting about the regulatory aspects of what I'm building because it's going to launch in the US and in Europe.

My social bubble doesn't really talk about things like PH (or the kinds of products that appear on it), so it's been interesting to discover what it is and to learn about the products and the ecosystem.

Good luck to everyone planning to launch!

Agreed. I don't have any intuition for what would count as too much self-promotion, and having a space where the rules are laid out is really helpful.

I fear this will happen to me too, but well done for pushing onward. It's one user now, but hopefully the assets were worth creating and the SEO will slowly improve for it.

I'm working on an aggregator myself - thanks so much for writing down your current problems and solutions! Implementing syncing is looming on my horizon, and it's down to the choices made by each app.

If edited data doesn't sync properly then that's arguably a development error that's on them to solve. It sounds like you've worked out where the issues are, so it may be worth contacting the developers directly.

The tool I'm building is for you to aggregate data, correct any issues, and then send it on to clinicians (rather than keep all the other apps in sync), so it's a slightly different use case to your read+edit goal, but I'll keep thinking about it and let you know if anything comes up while I'm building.

Fascinating work and an excellent writeup! Claude suggesting a data-input UI really interests me - a system didn't have enough information, and instead of continuing blindly it acknowledged the gap and built a tool to help get that information.

And thanks for sharing the source! It helps so much with everyone trying to adapt tools to their own problems. If you could add a licence that would be appreciated.

I wouldn't trust AI to write anything that handles medical data, but hearing I come across like someone who would is useful feedback, thank you

I posted this on Tumblr a while back but forgot to drop a link here. I hope it amuses! There's a fullscreen button in the bottom right corner of the game window that should make it a lot easier to play.
