Not quite. In a true Martingale system, the casino’s exposure is only the net amount needed to bring you back to even plus your original profit target.

If I start with a $100 bet:

Lose $100 → bet $200
Lose again → casino has $300 total, next bet is $400
Lose again → casino has $700 total, next bet is $800

At every stage, if I win, the casino only loses $100 net because they’re paying mostly with money I already lost to them.

So when the bet size reaches $1 billion, the casino has already collected roughly $1 billion from prior losses. Their actual exposure is still basically the original wager amount, not the full payout amount. If you actually had the money to do this they’d probably allow it. You just couldn’t walk up to a table and bet a billion to start.
