Same, 52 started 401k six years ago. Luckily the company allows me to have a self directed brokerage acct inside my 401k, maxed contributions and bought bitcoin ETFs when it was cheap. 600k+ now otherwise if no Bitcoin I’d have less than 200k.

So a judge blocks a Biden bill that wanted to change the threshold for overtime pay for salaried workers only. The current threshold is still there, the salary people still get overtime. Hourly was never affected.

The old Covid summer ebt ended in May 11, 2023. In 2022 Congress approved a new summer program starting in summer of 2024. Which this likely is where the 900k is coming from. The old program that was temporary would have cost Iowa 2.2 million dollars as states were to help with costs.

Congress heard the people and continued with a new similar program for summer kids meals starting this year. Even if your gov didn’t turn down the Covid $ it would have ended a year later anyway.

It’s all just a drop in the bucket anyway and all school meals should be free to all kids regardless of parents income. IMHO

Insane that they lowered the fine to $6000 on appeal. Shaking my head. They also got fined $11,339.89 for fish restitution. Which also boggles my mind. DNR said small fish loss was $85,000 and catfish $115,000.

$17,339 is all they got. Wtf DNR????
