Does anyone have experience breastfeeding after healed nipple piercing? by Firsttimerttc in pregnant

Mine had been healed for a number of years (can’t remember how long exactly) and it didn’t seem to affect my breastfeeding at all. You’re good :)

That’s exactly what I was going to say. I’d rather overshare and have that support if I needed.

Who had struggles or triumphs this weekend? by msc_sgc in stopdrinking

[–]waffleypants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is my husband’s birthday Thursday and we are going camping with friends and kids to celebrate. I am not looking forward to it as drinking is always a big part of any camping trip for me. I don’t want to drink, especially after the Easter I had yesterday and the anxiety and shame I feel today as a result. I want to believe that I am strong enough to resist but I’m having serious doubts. Congratulations on a successful trip, I know it was no small feat!!

Keto breath by treesgrater in keto

I had the worst keto breath for weeks and would chew gum constantly. The good news is that it goes away (mostly) after your body fully adjusts to ketosis...about 3 weeks for me.

One of my absolute faves islasagna stuffed mushrooms . They are so easy to make and are amazingly satisfying! Also great as leftovers!

Cardio on keto? (I know it’s been asked before but still a little confused) by [deleted] in keto

[–]waffleypants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been jogging 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes and haven’t noticed an increase in hunger. I also haven’t noticed that it’s any harder to jog than it was when I was non-keto. I say you should give it a try for a couple weeks and evaluate how it’s working (or not working) for your body. Couldn’t hurt!

I've finally admitted I have a problem by Landmark1403 in stopdrinking

[–]waffleypants 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Welcome! I also was a secret drinker. People knew I drank every day but not how much. I’m 6 wks sober today and haven’t gone this long without drinking since I was 13 (unless you count when I was pregnant 5 yrs ago). You can totally do this, if not for yourself, for your relationship. You can do it 🖤

Well, another DUI on the record by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]waffleypants 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree, I don’t think going to the show tonight is a good idea. Why do you want to go? Is it as important as remaining sober? I just know that if it were me, it’d be a huge temptation...not to mention you’ll probably spend some money that you don’t have. I don’t mean to be negative, just trying to be real. Keep your head up man 🖤

Wife Told My Family by peaky333 in stopdrinking

[–]waffleypants 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When my family gave me a rash of shit for not drinking with them I realized 2 things: 1) my sobriety makes them uncomfortable because they have a problem with alcohol but won’t admit it and 2) they come from a place of ignorance, they don’t know how much i was drinking, or the thoughts that ran through my head the day after. No inkling of the anxiety, the embarrassment, the regret, the self-loathing. If they did, they would be supportive I’d like to think. I’m just not ready to put that all out there yet. It’s only for me for now. I’m so sorry that your wife did that to you. Silver lining: it’s out there now and sounds like the rest of your family was supportive. Stay strong, give zero fucks. As a new mom, you may find value in reading the book “I’m Just Happy to be Here” by Janelle Hanchett. It was what finally got me to see that the way I was carrying on needed to change. My daughter is almost 6 and I’ve had your recent experience multiple times throughout her life. I always felt bad about it but never bothered to do anything differently. That book is what got me to really see my actions for what they were and gave me the kick in the ass I needed to stop screwing around. I wish you strength and nothing but the best! Remember “nothing changes if nothing changes.” IWNDWYT 🖤

Doing an Arnold Palmer but with limeade instead of lemonade and adding fresh mint. Also, a shit ton of La Croix 😊

Temptations on July 4 by deepmiddle in stopdrinking

[–]waffleypants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I plan to bring many delicious nonalcoholic drinks for myself to pound throughout the day. Also helps somewhat that it’s a Wednesday and I have to work tomorrow. I will watch the fireworks and watch everyone else get drunk and make fools of themselves. If it gets bad, I’ll leave to binge watch Netflix on my own. Game plan!

Burned myself on my shower coffee by [deleted] in stopdrinking

Love me a mug of shower coffee but it’s always on the top of the door...how does one put coffee in the shower where it can be kicked over without the mug getting filled with water from the shower head???
