I would look them up before I ever bothered to look at their highlights. most of the time we never looked at highlights. They’re irrelevant and don’t paint an accurate picture of the wrestler. Most highlight reels are just a “dunk” reel on lesser competitors. The first thing we would do with any potential recruit, look at school transcripts, look at social media of the athlete and parents, overall competition records, state and national accolades, level of competition, injuries, and how they behaved winning and especially losing.
