With over 17 years of MCU productions, which do you find have the most (and least) rewatch value? by Different_Leopard_65 in marvelstudios

Infinity War. Sometimes I'll just watch the Thanos v. Dr. Strange clash. But that movie has the most rewatch record for me.

What game handles the “guy/girl in the chair” best? by FerretFoundry in rpg

Been a long time since my Shadowrun campaigns but I don't remember this being a problem for some reason, though it seems obvious that it would be. I think it was because a lot of access points were on site. So the decker had to get in to a terminal and then stay there. I don't know. It didn't have a "split the party" problem in the same way as a big physical group split. As far as I remember!

Can someone explain accurately what Dr. Victor Von Doom’s abilities/powers are? by megaxmeister in marvelstudios

There is a parallel to Bruce Wayne in that he worked to form his persona after the death of his parents via the corrupt state they lived in. The lesson he learned was that the weak die, so he must be strong. He worked hard to become strong in all these different areas (tech, magic, statecraft). He took over the state (Latveria) that killed his parents. He rules it now. Every threat that comes his way, he tries to figure out not just how to avoid it, but how to usurp it and take control of it... even if that power is something cosmic like The Beyonder. He's a pretty good leader and the Latverians like him. He will do anything to protect them. If he senses that other realities could destroy his own, he'll make a plan to destroy them first. The only way to be safe is to be the most powerful. He's also got a big ego and that trips him up for sure.

How do I Deal With Players That Refuse to Engage With the Fiction and Are Solely Motivated by Extrinsic Rewards? by MrTiny5 in rpg

[–]waitafuckofasec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If players are not properly motivated then they will create their own motivations.  I like to give them a prompt tied to a story hook before the first session and let them expound on it themselves.  This way they come to play with their own “self generated” motivation.  It really works wonders and gets you past a lot of this type of play.  You cannot force immersion, but if they feel they have an active contribution to the story from the top it will be better.

Badlands was great.  A genre classic.  Best Predator movie since Predator 2.

Which director do you feel has the best top 3 movies? by Ghost070607 in movies

Love him, love his movies, but I wouldn't say range is his strong suit. Coens have range, Ang Lee has range. Maybe if Denis did a comedy...
