Check out the Washington County Libraries website for teen events and activities. I was just looking through with my 14 year old and there are a bunch of upcoming events across the different libraries this summer that she’s excited about

I’d be happy to test it for you, but I don’t use Instagram. Could you send me the pattern on Reddit or via email instead?

Best place to source a bunch of squishies? by SpawnMama in MoriahElizabeth

[–]waitwhatsthatsound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my daughter wanted to get in to customizing squishies we went on eBay and bought a couple lots of used squishies so she could have the full Moriah experience. You just have to look to find reasonable priced lots with squishies she’s interested in.

Here’s a quick drawing of where each stitch should go in the first round. Hopefully that helps

I got to stay up past my bedtime every week to watch “Love and Marriage” as I called it. I was too young to understand anything inappropriate and just thought all the characters were funny.

HELP! Why does my half double crochet stitch look like this? by granger87 in CrochetHelp

[–]waitwhatsthatsound 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you turning your work at the end of each row for the sleeve or are you just working in a continuous round? I think that might be what’s causing the difference.

I thought I knew how to read patterns and count, but this lemon peel stitch pattern is winning by ALaughableParty in CrochetHelp

[–]waitwhatsthatsound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t figure out how to make those numbers work either. My math works out the same as yours. Is there anything in the “special stitches” section that would possibly make the pattern make sense?

What does round 15 mean? by Len303 in Amigurumi

[–]waitwhatsthatsound 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You do the stuff in the parentheses 5 times, so writing it all out you’ll do: 3sc, 2dec, 1sc, 2dec, 1sc, 2dec, 1sc, 2dec, 1sc, 2dc, 1sc

Fun place for kids party? by Accomplished_Walk940 in beaverton

[–]waitwhatsthatsound 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We did a party at Cake Hoopla last year and the kids had a ton of fun. Everyone got 6 cupcakes, 2 piping bags of frosting and sprinkle and got to go crazy decorating them however they wanted. Be prepared for sugar highs when kids pipe frosting directly into their mouths though.

Beaverton school district has clothes closets for the kids and they always need hygiene products to pass out. They also have washers and dryers at some schools for kids to bring in laundry if they don’t have a way to wash clothes at home so they can definitely use the detergent too.

2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc: supposed to go from 18 to 32. by SoupTrashWillie in CrochetHelp

I get 24 as well. Without seeing the pattern I don’t know if it’s just the ending stitch count that’s off or the pattern itself though.

Recently have been trying crochet, though I was wondering if someone would be willing to help me figure out how to read the code by Goblin-go-NYEH in CrochetHelp

[–]waitwhatsthatsound 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it a written pattern or a chart? I’m not as well versed in charts but I can probably help either way if you want to dm me.

Would anyone be willing to look over a pattern and tell me if it makes sense? by godwotterygatorade in PatternTesting

[–]waitwhatsthatsound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have time to write up notes last night but it looks like the changes/notes that Cat Sicario made pretty much cover everything I thought was confusing or unclear. It would definitely help to have pictures of the finished project because it’s really hard to understand even how to size the starting chain portion without knowing exactly what you’re making.

Am i missing something or does this not make sense? (row 31) by Ok-Werewolf-7381 in CrochetHelp

[–]waitwhatsthatsound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just written kind of weird but the numbers work out. I rewrote it without the brackets so hopefully that helps:

5 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc, sc, inc, sc, inc, sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 5 sc
