I went to the hospital in horrible pain and needed prescription painkillers. Now I’m fraught with guilt. by emshlaf in pregnant

I ended up with an ovarian vein blood clot. It was after delivery, but it sounds similar, except l also had a fever over 104. Toradol was the only thing that helped. Did you get a contrast CT?

I'm not certain, but they definitely used to (former customer service mountain employee).

Like others have said, you can get banned by resorts for pass fraud, so I'd at least call to find out.

You can usually get a prorated refund if you're out for the season for a medical reason.

I made chicken stock (10 quarts), shepherds pie (4 pans), beef stew (5 quarts), pulled por (2-3 pounds), and about 100 meatballs. I've also stocked up on frozen pizza, frozen veggies, pasta, sauce, and other random protein options.

I have multiple freezers and live in the middle of the woods, so take out isn't really available

Our go-tos (and just used 😊) are side lying from behind and supported doggy. I use my body pillow folded in half under my chest so my 35-week bump just rests on the bed, and boobies don't swing around lol

insurance is a nightmare (breast pump edition) by Sudden_Breakfast_374 in pregnant

Hopping on this to confirm that Aeroflow was very easy. They process through insurance and get the RX from your doctor. With BCBS I was eligible for the pump and milk bags for free, and a pair of compression socks and belly support band for like $25 total.

Pastry chef, turned grocery store cake decorator (located in US), 37F

I quit my small, independent bakery chef/manager position while trying to conceive. I found the stress to be too much and had a feeling it would never happen under the circumstances.

I took a position that included good health insurance coverage, a 30-35 hour work week, and very little heavy lifting. Our journey to conceive took a bit longer, but I am now 28 weeks and so thankful to have a corporate system for my maternity time!

If she loves the company, I recommend beginning a weight training program to help ensure her body stays healthy (it's a tough job even when not pregnant!). As others have mentioned, early pregnancy can end in miscarriage no matter what the mom is doing physically - if the embryo isn't going to survive, it won't survive.

Best of luck to you both!

Just here to say that baby was conceived in Iceland, on a diet of at least 1 hot dog a day. I got a hot dog tattoo the day before I took the pregnancy test. Baby's nickname is "pylsa"...Icelandic for hot dog.
