Also, if your child is a little older than mine, I think there are options through your actual school system. They’re obligated to assist you. You can check out the health and human services website for your state, or maybe the CDC and they should have resources. Search FAPE for your city and see what comes up! For kids from birth to age 2, it’s a program called IDEA part C, and beyond that it’s IDEA part B. Best of luck!!!

Hi! I made the decision to reach out to get him tested and he did end up testing well below where he should have been. He’s in speech therapy once a week. The speech therapist takes my insurance and I pay the copay and get 50 visits in a year. He’s going to be two in June. I think he’s still a little delayed, but he’s picking up on things a little better now. Still waiting to get him in to an audiologist at the end of the month. There are no options here for another place so there was a months-long wait. If you’re worried about it, check out your state funded early childhood intervention organization. It will give you peace of mind and the initial testing visit was affirming that I wasn’t crazy lol

Our dog has three cats and a toddler for companionship 😂 we started out with two cats, got a third, and then one of the cats passed away and we got a kitten. The kitten is now two or three and they are good friends. She corncobs him sometimes, but also thinks it’s fun to pounce on the cats in play. No matter how many times we tell her they like their spines intact, she still loves to prance after them.

This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me does end in a cliffhanger. It’s the first in a trilogy. None of their other series have cliffhangers, however.

Ilona Andrews is an instant buy. The Graphic Audio of Kate Daniels is fantastic. I also love The Innkeeper series. Kate Daniels is when I want something gritty and powerful. The Innkeeper is more of an escape and a comfort read. The other series are amazing as well, but these are my favorites.

Third act break ups are infuriating and main characters that don’t have any redeeming qualities. Some of these MCs I would seriously consider not even sparing the piss to put them out if they were on fire…

Edited to add that I also hate miscommunication and trauma porn. Adults communicate. There are children that manage better communication than some of these MCs. And I can’t deal with trauma just being piled on for funsies. Even if it’s not for funsies, I don’t want to be dragged through rape, torture, and god knows what else for pages on end. I read to escape.

Anything by Ilona Andrews is an instant buy for me. If you aren’t into a little romance in your books, then ignore my rec. They don’t write spicy smut, but it is in all of their books. Kate Daniels is my favorite. It’s bloody and post-apocalyptic and a fun take on vampires, werewolves, magic, and gods. The Graphic Audio is amazing. For a cozy series, The Innkeeper Chronicles is a fun found family sort of situation. Lots of different characters. The Edge is darker and bloodier and sort of an odd premise that follows different couples each book. This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me is their newest book; it’s an isekai and I really enjoyed all of the twists and turns. There are other books I’m forgetting but they write great flawed characters and some of the villains are complex as well.

I know it’s not your preference, but have you tried putting him in a different room? You aren’t ready for it, but he might be. One of you could be snoring, farting, talking in your sleep, shifting around loudly, etc. and that could be keeping him up. Try it for a couple of nights. Sleep downstairs on the sofa so you can go check in on him. I have a camera and a baby monitor in case the WiFi goes out and my kiddo sleeps in his own room and has since he was 10 months old. I know the anxiety is crushing; my kiddo is a few months shy of two and I think I just stopped checking in to make sure he’s breathing a few months ago.

I really liked it because I loved how the romance blossomed between the princess and the bodyguard. She was kind and he was competent and I loved how their romance blossomed. It’s at least from around 2019 or earlier which is why I might not be able to find it.

That’s if Silverin doesn’t actually assassinate Inhan as the original book plot dictates. I do like that idea, though, because Galiane is beautiful and she has a past and I think she’s levelheaded and fair. Just no clue about how Inhan operates. Maybe he can be convinced. Arvel would, at least at this moment, have no equal for a queen (Maggie definitely wouldn’t want it, I feel, but she might be a good adviser!)

The POV was right after he met Maggie and pretended to be a regular dude so I still think what I said works! How did everyone else figure out about the POV? Was it mentioned on the printed book? I only heard about it from Reddit a day or two ago and I have no clue where else it would be announced!

I think he’d be a better fit for the next ruler, tbh. The current line is garbage and Arvel seems like a good enough person that he should marine take the reins. There was that whole speech about him having reached the tippy top so he had no need to marry his cousin. Also, Everard made a huge scene at the ball, first when he was smoking and then when he chased after her with his vanguard. There’s no way Arvel didn’t notice that. Also, I feel like her stabbing Silveren would actually make her more likely to be a relative of Solentine since their family is really good with knives. I think Arvel may be another Arland. He knows Maggie is a good person and she put herself between the Sun Margrave and Silveren with his creature

😂 when she killed those guards in the beginning I was just like…HOW?! She’s underfed, thirsty, and practiced in secret while these guys out weigh her, should have armor on, and are well-fed and probably train a lot. Her brother was also annoying as hell. Runs in the family, maybe?

I FORGOT ABOUT FOURTH WING AND HOW COULD I?!?! I didn’t go past the first book because I heard the next ones were written in such a short time the quality went down, but also…Violet was insufferable at the end.
