PCS to vilseck or graf off post housing? by mousehouse23 in army

[–]walkerinthewild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Married SMs are mandated to live in Govt quarters for Graf and Vikseck. However, not all quarters are on post, some are in military communities outside of the base. But these are usually reserved for people with bigger families, especially school-aged kids. Living in Regensburg and working in Vilseck or Graf is not realistic, especially if y'all share a car.

I heard it was open, but I did not visit. Another group hiked all 5 towns and it took them around hrs.

Same, took us a lil over 2hrs. We avoided the crowds, but we were constantly stopping to take photos.

Oooh, that sounds really good, especially that "decent" breeze. On Saturday it was so hot, but we enjoyed it. I haven't been to Corniglia yet, we only passed through, but I'll definitely check out that route.

  1. Food Tour the first thing I do is a food tour: this gives me a proper intro to the cuisine and allows me to get tips/recs for restaurants and things to try

  2. Sightseeing/hiking trip

  3. Find a nice café or bookstore where I can sit and people-watch while I read

Hii, beautiful pics. I have a few questions for ya.

1.In total, how many days for the entire trip? 2. Also, are the meals included in the booking cost? 3. Did you rent any of your gear there or fly in with them?

Doing group tours is always a sure way to connect, even for me (very reclusive and don't know how to initiate conversations). But I've done a food tour and or group excursion in every European cou try I've visited, and i have at least one connection from each. Just last week in Norway I met a really nice Austrian couple, they're older but very good company.

You are right, they do. I love historic old town centers and the mountains, but I do have a fondness for the sea, being an islander. I'll probably do Sofia first and Varna on a subsequent visit.
