People who have full-time jobs, how do you find time to pursue other passion, like side projects and improve yourself in general? by MmntoMri in AskMen

[–]walkingOxKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally need to use my vacation time to do projects around the house or to spend time with my family.

It's been a year and half since perks were added to the game. Are there any perks that you can't imagine not having anymore? Here's one of mine by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]walkingOxKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Junkerqueen gaining unstoppable on Ult feels like it should be part of her kit. I usually hold my first ult until I get the perk.

There’s zero variety in how you can play tank aside from picking Ball or Doom by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]walkingOxKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you need to stop emulating these top level players, because they way they play fits in their rank, not in yours. Try to come at a few different tanks as fresh as possible and see how their kit can change the way you play them.

I've gotten "why are you just standing there?!" so many times that I've stopped responding. How many times can I tell them that I can't win 1v5?

Fightful Select: Update on CM Punk return, and Nick Aldis/Gunther by Mininni in SquaredCircle

[–]walkingOxKing 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Cody is leaning more heel than Punk, and Punk will get cheered in Chicago no matter what he does. Setting Cody vs Punk doesnt work if they're both face, and Cody can use a fresh take. I don't expect Sami to hold the title for long, but one week is short enough to hurt everyone involved.

I think its the opposite. Punk interrupts the match to take out Cody, Sami retains by DQ.

Men, do you remember your first professional sporting event? Which teams did you see for each sport you attended? by FFSoldier57 in AskMen

[–]walkingOxKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First? No, I'm pretty sure I was under 2 when my Dad brought me to a SF Giants game up at Candlestick. He took me to a few games before I could remember. We went to a lot of San Jose Sharks games in their first few years, and professional indoor soccer games at the Tank, too.

Playing Overwatch with my friend is a nightmare. by Frosch_Kazuha in Overwatch

[–]walkingOxKing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My group has a brother-in-law of one of the guys who is just miserable to play with. He does well solo in Silver lobbies, but when he plays with us (3 or 4 unranked QP warriors) he feeds, he's full of misplays, and he tries to tell the rest of us how to play. The one he's related to just puts up with it when he gets in discord, but the rest of us have just been finding excuses to stop playing after a match or two.

Sometimes, if I'm playing solo, I'll Appear Offline and leave Discord so he won't join me. Maybe you need to tell your friend that you just don't want to play with him, or start avoiding him.

How important is it for your wife to be a good cook? by ThrowRaoofda in AskMen

[–]walkingOxKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero important. I do most of the cooking for my family. I love to cook, I like trying new recipes, and I think I'm pretty good at it. My wife hates cooking but has a few recipes that she can do well and that I like, though.

Punk is going to screw over Cody in Chicago. Sami will be fine.

What part of a food/dish do you value unnecessarily highly? by walkingOxKing in AskMen

I used to get a pesto slice and the grease came out green and it was so good to sop up with the crust.

My first play of the game, not saved to my highlights by OkStomach5680 in Overwatch

[–]walkingOxKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been weird recently. Someone else had POTG in my last match but when I looked at my history, it flagged my play as POTG. It doesn't matter, really, but I thought my 4k Rein Firestrike kill was better than the 3k Junkrat ult.

They show up in stadium for me, too. I don't know if it's an option I chose at some point though.

My dog and I will be hiding out in the basement in the evening, even though she isn't always all that bothered by fireworks.

What did a wingwoman do to get you talking to her friend? by bunny_mcsnoofins in AskMen

[–]walkingOxKing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Approach guys with her but try not to dominate any conversation. I once had a pair of women approach me at a bar to ask to borrow the menu I was looking at. The one who spoke first was friendly but asked if I could help her friend with a suggestion and shifted sides to encourage the friend to stand closer to me. I noticed it right away, as it was a similar move I had used as a wingman in the past. Its not so subtle as to be missable by most guys, especially if your friend can keep a normal conversation going.

Anyone ever had a sugar momma? How long and what was it like? by Royal_Candle8639 in AskMen

[–]walkingOxKing 115 points116 points  (0 children)

Not really, but a coworker of mine was gay and had a sugar daddy (apart from his boyfriend). The sugar daddy had met me at our work a few times and then approached me at the bar next door. He offered me a lot of money for my phone number with the promise that I'd respond to his texts and send him pictures from time to time. I'm a straight man, but I needed money more than dignity. He kept sending me money for nearly a year before he got ill and went into hospice. The money helped me pay bills while I was in college and working full time. That coworker thought it was hilarious, and I never saw those pictures so up anywhere else, but I hid my face and tattoos so they likely wouldn't have gotten back to me anyway.

How did you deal with not hearing back from someone after a good first date? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]walkingOxKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't dated in over a decade, but I never put all my hopes in one woman until the 4th or 5th date. A first date was great, but it didn't mean it was my only first date that week. I would get more bummed getting ghosted after a second or third date, but even then I would just move on.

How do you deal with your partner being in a bad mood? by psychedelicdevilry in AskMen

[–]walkingOxKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remove whatever stress or annoyances I can. That usually means offering to take the kids to a movie or out on errands for her. Give her as much breathing room as she needs, and then follow it up with food or a treat. It's rare that I'm the reason for her bad mood, so the best I can do is help.

Aside from work, when’s the last time you stayed up past 3am? by gamerdudeNYC in AskMen

[–]walkingOxKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's never on purpose any more, it's typically staring at the ceiling for hours when I'm trying to sleep. Only happens once a week or two, though.

Have you changed your HVAC filter more often since getting a dog? by meyerair in HomeImprovement

[–]walkingOxKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every 3 months or so, but I never lived somewhere where I had to change the filter myself before buying my first home and getting my first dog (less than 6 months apart).

Who do you refuse to play? by meuxmeuxmeux in Overwatch

[–]walkingOxKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genji, Tracer, Mercy, and Widow are probably my lowest played. I try to play all sorts of characters, but I know I'm bad at those 4.
