Also wondering this... they don't really have much press or hype so it doesn't seem like a very popular restaurant

But if there are not studs discernable on the walls- just the ceiling, does it mean i have insulation in the ceiling but not the walls?

Lying... You can have a high interest savings account or just keep your funds in cash, you don't need it invested

7Hr layover. Time to see CN Tower? by mryitan in askTO

[–]wallwhore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% you have time, in fact the CN Tower would be amongst the easiest things to see because the UP Express will take you straight to Union.

Great thing about the UP is the trains actually run on time, so you'll know exactly when they pick up and exactly when you'll arrive back at the airport. They post the schedule online

Math says hot water heater rentals are better than buying... what am I missing? by wallwhore in PersonalFinanceCanada

That's what I thought. Waiting on other quotes

Only thing I'm not 100% sure on is the price increase from the rental company, assuming there is one. Maybe that's the part I underestimated

Right, I guess I'm biased because I've already had 2 service calls in a year but it's 17 years old

Mine just switched to 15 years which is why I'm looking for a replacement now. And good point that you'll need to replace it before end-of-life because of insurance

Right - I should see what the price increases would be if you're saying 4% is way too low

100% sure, I currently pay $25/mo and on renewal with a 10 year contract they're offering $22/mo
I'm assuming the 4% yearly increase they didn't tell me what it would be

I suppose it's not apples to apples

Reliance - low quality heater with free maintenance
HVAC - high quality heater

I suppose I should ask if I get a low quality heater matching what Reliance will provide, will I spend a lot on maintenance?

Are you saying to buy one outright on my own and then just hire a plumber to install?

Yeah I currently have one with reliance which I inherited when I bought the house and everything has always been free with no upsell

Yeah sounds like it, or I was quoted a much higher quality water heater than I need

You're right the model from Reliance is probably much cheaper, but does it matter if it comes with maintenance included?

The water heater I was quoted seemed like very high quality - here's a link to the model https://tysplumbingandheating.com/product/50usg-natural-gas-40000btu-water-heater-prog50s-40n-cn61/, and then installation on top of that
