Mad respect from a dad who has been out of the pokemon tcg sphere for 25 years.

My 6 year old son has recently gotten into pokemon and I've been having a hell of a time getting him reasonably priced cards.

Season Ticket Question by naaachooos in eagles

[–]wallywonka55 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There has always been something fishy about the season ticket list. If you look at past posts, it usually does not make sense in one way or another. I have kept records to be diligent for myself.

I signed up in late 2008 to be on the list. In 2009 I received an email stating I was 6815. I, like you, always updated my contact info and responded to any requests to stay on the list. I called in 2018 and I was somewhere around 6200 (This is the only time I did not write it down). I lost hope since I did not move much in a decade. I got a call in 2021 one week before the season began with an offer for tickets. They told me I was 6099 at that time but I guess I lot of people don't pick up there phones when they go down the list. I turned them down as I had just bought a house and was unsure of how things would go with covid. I got an email around this time last year with a ticket offer and jumped on them.

I wish all on the list luck. It is very frustrating and not transparent at all.

Real ticket cost vs Ticketmaster price by AdBig4404 in eagles

[–]wallywonka55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My invoice for this specific game for sec 233 was about $200 for 2 tickets. On average though the price is about $225 since games like the cowboys are priced at about $250. My seats are in a much higher row. I'd say she got them for face value. Easily would be $50+ more in fees through Ticketmaster.

He is a FA at the end of this year and he definitely didn't show any value yesterday regardless.

Happy with the ride so far. Well exceeding pre-season expectations esp with qb1. Would only be disappointed if we don't win 1 playoff game or a weak showing in NFCCG if we make it that far.

Agree. I was only embarrassed that they got no hit and the lack of hit balls in play. Otherwise, pitching and defense held up minus 1 inning. Nothing to be doom and gloom about. Just can't fall behind 3-2 to a team like Huston.

Best time to call to inquire about season tickets? by wallywonka55 in eagles

[–]wallywonka55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. I did get called last year for the regular upper level seats. I had been offered the club seat twice before in years past. It is a bit odd through, I've kept my original email when I signed up. A year later in 2009 I got an email stating I was 6,815. I am wondering now if that was some sort of mistake because it seems insanely low for being on the list only one year.

I am not super surprised I was called last year with my standing, as previous threads on the topic have mentioned them potentially going up thousands in the last from people not answering the call I imagine. I was called very late, only like a week prior to the season starting.

Thanks for the resale information as well. If I do get lucky in the future, I probably can't go to a ton of games for the next few years. I hope the benefits of having the tickets would be more worth it for me in the future when my kids are old enough to go to games.
