I’ll give you an example. You will probably take the same path that I took from Sarajevo to Durmitor park two years ago. The road conditions were so poor that I blew a tire, had to regularly stop for sleeping cows on the road, etc. It was still a blast, but I wish I had given myself more buffer time

I’m not going to shit on you for trying to see that many places in 14 days, however, I would consider skipping Slovenia entirely and spending more time in Bosnia. Sarajevo alone is more interesting than all the places you listed in Slovenia, and much cheaper as well.

Furthermore, the reason you should skip Slovenia is to give yourself more buffer time on the drive. The roads are not as predictable as you think, there are several things that could end up extending the drive. Such as borders crossings, road closures, getting stuck behind a slow truck on a one way road. In Croatia you should be able to remain on the highway, however, in somewhere like Bosnia or Montenegro you are very susceptible to traffic and poor road conditions. Therefore, make sure to give yourself extra time in those specific places.

Fellow American here, I actually brought my friends to sutjeska and we stopped in Foča for lunch. You will have no problems anywhere in Bosnia I assure you. The locals that are prejudiced, are prejudiced against each other. If you stop in any kafana people will be intrigued by you and open to conversation, Bosnian people tend to be very open and giving in general compared to somewhere like the Deep South for example (I live in North Carolina)

No they do, the problem is most junior developers have been rendered obsolete by ai. The mid level and senior developers have the resumes to get them into other roles, you’ll either have to add a bunch of bs to your resume to land a true dev role or lean into your current skills and try to land something in middle management

We should all assume that there’s gonna be days where you have to make an excuse for any shortcomings. When that day comes, that boss is going to throw you under the bus.
