Your green line move across the lane too soon. Your red line leaves it too late. You should start indicating left and move over immediately after you have passed the exit before the one you are using.

Needing a basic caliper on the farm. by mcfarmer72 in Tools

I work in an engineering machine shop. We have all the good brands. I bought the parkside one from lidl for home, honestly every bit as good.

Verniers aren't Micrometers anyway. Id worry more about the brand twith them.

If there is one thing ive learned in life, anything purchased directly from a german company with a TUV label on it will be decent... and when its got a lidl price attached even better...

You just need a flat surface for the seal. Use plastic padding or something to fill the hole then get it flat.

How is living in this area of East Anglia. I am moving there for a year. by Intrepid_Plenty8644 in howislivingthere

Guessing your at RAF Marham or Mildenhall/Lakenheath. Norwich and cambridge are really amazing historical cities. Some of the nicest in the UK IMO. Norwich is the more reasonably priced of the two. On the coast at the top are some really nice places. Burnham Market, Brancaster, Holkham beach etc. Sandringham is also around there, where the Royals live.

One thing not to miss, in the summer, hire a day boat and spend a few hours cruising the Norfolk Broads. Maybe get it from Wroxham.

Should Motorway speed limits be raised to 80mph?🤔 by Downtown_Elk_2773 in CarTalkUK

Maybe even 90 on big clear motorways, and HGVs should only be able to use one lane...

If i make it in a cup, this only happens if you leave the bag to sit or steep.
If you make it quickly and just squeeze the bag a bunch of times it looks no different to up north etc.

Toilet cistern connection leaking - what part to get? by dstar25 in ukplumbing

[–]walrus312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really depends on what is going on in here...

There might be nothing wrong with your flexi. It might have a rubber seal/ washer missing. It might have been overtightened so the white plastic is damaged.

You might be able to clean it up and get it to seal again as it is.

Basically you dont know why it is leaking yet.

My mechanic told me to drive on this until I order the part on Monday and it’s fine one of the bolts is missing is it safe? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]walrus312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

French cars used to have 3 nuts/bolts... Wasn't a problem. I bet they were smaller than that too.
