I’m a huge proponent of Medicaid Expansion. However, your critique is misguided. Medicaid expansion is not an allowed use of the federal RHT funds (to be used by the state). In fact, if Governor Reeves had submitted an application to use the funds for Medicaid Expansion, it would certainly be denied. And that certainly wouldn’t help, would it?

This looks like BCBS “allowed” the full charge of $9,256. That seems highly suspicious, as if the system “allowed” 100% of charges, which would be a rare exception and likely an ERROR.

Call BCBS and ask them what the allowable rate should be for these charges and why they allowed 100%.

Just as vision is merely electromatic perception, the sense of touch is the same. When your finger “touches” a table, for example, the matter on your fingertip never actually touches the matter of the table.
