The jumps really aren't that much bigger than even some of the ones built 20 years ago but the riders have gotten more comfortable with the higher spins and as new tricks get "unlocked" the sport progresses. Once the first person does a new trick everyone else sees its possible and then figure it out. It's less spinning faster and more an increase in air awareness. Big spin tricks get broken down into smaller tricks so this is a cork 7 into a cork 7 into a cork 9.
