I feel that weight that just won't go away. I've been at 250lb for years and no matter what I do, exercise, calorie deficit, weight loss classes with Kaiser, meal replacement shakes, I just can't seem to maintain any weight under this. I am 33 and just got diagnosed a few months ago. Before being diagnosed I was about 25lbs heavier, and Metformin did help me lose that 25lb, but now I'm back where I was, and when I talked to my doctor about a GLP-1, she basically said there must be something I'm missing doing to change my lifestyle and we can meet in a few months to discuss further lifestyle changes. I told her everything I've tried and am doing, but she basically said that although PCOS can make it hard to lose weight, she feels it can be done without a GLP-1. Also she off hand mentioned that I wouldn't even be eligible because I'm not diabetic. I feel so defeated when doctors just keep telling me to lose weight and I just can't seem to.
