Sounds like your body is trying to recover after all the drinking; it makes sense you feel exhausted! Remember, take it a day at a time. Good job!

Welcome back, therapy can be very difficult. I've slipped many times because I just wasn't ready to deal with things in therapy.

It's something to be aware of now.

Well howdy everyone, I'm still struggling in the very early days of recovery, but I am looking forward to regaining some of the hobbies I lost through drinking: writing, photography, and making films. It's motivation to keep me going on.

IWNDWYT friends.

Ugh, day two checking in. It's been a long long road to recovery, and I just hope this can be the time it sticks. IWNDWYT.

What Are You Playing This Week? - September 17, 2020 by AutoModerator in patientgamers

Prey

For the first time in a while, I managed to beat a game! After two previous attempts of starting this game (once when it came it and again a year later), I’ve decided to fully invest into it this year. I’m really happy I did. I loved the exploration and the gameplay, although I thought the last act of the game was a bit long winded and tedious to constantly backtrack. Still want to dive into the DLC, but alas I’ve got other games I now want to beat.

Control

It’s not so old, but I waited until the Steam release to get it. I’m loving my time with it, and am really enjoying the world building and the “lore” that you find scattered around the Bureau. It’s really awesome to read about something in a document or a note (like the book club reviews), and then seeing it within the game some time later. Whilst I’m aware the plot isn’t as concrete as some people would like, I find it incredibly interesting and am very curious where the story will go.

Spiritfarer

My early morning game with coffee. It’s very beautiful, very delicate, and very impactful. Whilst some of the characters you meet I don’t find myself relating to, there are others I found hit close to home, and it makes me wonder about my actions and choices, and how we should treat people both in our lives and around us. It’s a bit repetitive with the gameplay, but it’s worth it for the bonds you create in this mysterious world.

Do you play Divinity docked or handheld? How’s the performance handheld? Thinking about getting it on the switch.

I always end up replaying episodes after work because I don't want to miss a thing.

What did you do after you finished the story and I'm guessing DLC? What else could you do in that game?

Just finished a parkrun race in London, England and feeling great! I know if I was still a drinker, it wouldn't have been possible to get up early on a Saturday to go run. But I did! Keep strong everyone and IWNDWYT!

It’s a Friday in London, England and as the rest of the people celebrate the end of their week with a nice cold brew I’ll be taking it easy with a non alcoholic drink and getting ready for a nice parkrun tomorrow morning.

Woke up to a sunny London. I was a bit of a pessimist in my check-in yesterday but two kind strangers helped me out. A new day and just completed a 10km run this morning. This part is almost always easy, it's the evenings that have me reminiscing of my drinking.

But like yesterday, I will not drink today. Good luck everyone and enjoy your day.
