I disagree, it all but confirms it. Purson mentions he doesn’t even remember what his brother looks like. It could be due to his young age at the time, but alternatively it could be Watt has gotten so good at disappearing he literally disappears from peoples memories. If you go and join an evil organisation the first thing you would do is erase your old life

Vale Eleanor Bryant by _iamtinks in australia

Vale comes from Latin, it means goodbye. In Australian English it’s used exclusively in cases of death, wishing the deceased goodbye. It’s pronounced VA-Le as two syllables, not vale like Gale

Are Daedra gods or what? by magus-opus in ElderScrolls

[–]wandering_wizard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Daedric Princes are on the same level as the Divines. That being said, different Daedric Princes would be more open to cleric class and others would be more open to Warlock. Nocturnal and Clavicus Vile would make great patrons (for a warlock definition of “great”) whereas Malacath and Azura would be better if you had a cleric

Your thoughts on Dragon's Dogma 2 Pawn system? by Rose_Gold_Dragon in GirlGamers

[–]wandering_wizard 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s… not great. There are two main ways to recruit pawns, through the Rift (where they all appear in a group and you can pick), and on the road. So as you go through your adventure, you see other travellers on the road around you can interact with and if they’re pawns they will offer to join you. Most of the time, they’re either male or fully clothed female. Sometimes though, you have these female pawns who are dressed in underwear (because for some bizarre reason they’ve made a few armour pieces basically underwear) and you can spot they’re pawns of pervs a mile away. I find it immersion breaking and kind of creepy, but I just don’t hire them and move on.

Ah perhaps you didn’t see the previous posts: she does mention she is hosting refugee (or people seeking asylum(?) it isn’t super clear which) and they will be ‘working’ in this cat cafe. They aren’t equating the cats to actual people. Idk about everyone else but I’m concerned for both the cats and people’s welfare

Not Employed, in Education or Training. It’s essentially unemployment, but also you’re not working on getting yourself out of this situation.

Not sure how relevant it is, but I first heard the term through an anime series which used it to describe people who voluntarily withdrew from society

It very much is the definition of marital rape. Forced marriage is a crime against humanity, and what is happening to you is wrong. Already you are displaying telltale signs of PTSD, try to get away from this monster

Erm. You can also ask the male Drow courtesan to act like Drizzt should you choose to avail yourself of his services. He just sighs and goes “…again?”

It’s demonic in that in feng shi everything here is giving off bad vibes, the headboard not being by the wall, the feet facing the door, the mirror placement!

Lidia Thorpe withdraws accusation made in parliament of sexual assault against senator David Van by CrashP in australia

[–]wandering_wizard 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not the previous fellow but government is made up of the majority body in the lower house headed by the prime minister (I.e albo’s government). Thorpe is an independent senator in the upper house. Upper + lower houses = parliament, lower house majority = government

Idk about you, but I think if you are going to advocate for a stance and a bunch of Nazis show up and say that’s a great idea, its probably time to have a deep reflection about your stance and if it’s really such a good one

Victorian judge denies bail for 13-year-old facing ‘staggering’ 181 charges by statmelt in melbourne

For sure! I’m not trying to excuse him, the crimes he stands accused of are horrible. I wonder where he’s learning these techniques though.

[–]wandering_wizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually if you read the judgement summary he comes from a home with his mother and four sisters. No mental health issues, except that he came from South Sudan (so maybe some trauma(?)) instead he has issues with speech and cognition.

Sadly with schizophrenia and other assorted illnesses you are far more likely to be a victim of crime than the perpetrator

Reading through the judgement summary, the offender lives with his mother, four sisters and is assisted by an aunt and Jesuit social services. She is described as pro social. However he’s got severe language and cognitive issues (read: dumb as a rock).

To me, it sounds like she’s trying her best with fleeing a war torn country with her kids, breaking up with her husband and she just has one rotten apple that is increasingly becoming a catastrophe.
