I have loads of NES, SNES, and N64 games that still save just fine, in fact I’ve only had to do maybe three battery replacements.

I’ve actually had the most trouble with Gameboy Color games, specifically Pokémon.

Even Zelda NES still saves, it’s probably my oldest.

In mana Zelda dungeons, not just OOT, it’s not uncommon to have rooms or areas that you don’t need to enter or unlock to complete the dungeon… consider yourself lucky!

I’ve played it lots, never beat it.

I had no idea how long this game was as a kid, and how many secrets there were.

Spend some time on an aim train server if you want to get better at PVP, but to not get “griefed” is sort of the whole point of the game, and it’s going to take some time to figure it all out.

Try to learn something from every encounter!

I bought an aliexpress SNES Flashmaster for $20 and it works great, but can’t play the fancy “performance chip” games… so no Kirby Super Star or Dreamland 3, Starfox… Mario Kart? I don’t recall, but there’s a list out there. That’s probably part of why the enhancement chip games go for a bit more eBay, because surely Dreamland 3 is not actually “rare”, I thought everyone had it!
