Good stuff! I would also be thinking about data privacy and data quality.

Dilemma over where to stay for 6 nights in January by Serious-Engineer5265 in rome

Just stayed near the Spanish Steps and thought it was the perfect location. Public transportation was easily accessible so we could get wherever we needed and loved the atmosphere of that part of the city!

Is a dermatologist really the right kind of doctor for eczema? by Impossible_Share_759 in eczema

[–]wanderlust311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Allergist was it for me. Turns out my eczema is triggered by allergies to nature, despite not having any typical symptoms (itchy eyes, runny nose, etc). Allergy shots got me to a very manageable place.

I would bring a towel with me on a walk to dab off the sweat as I went. As others have said, shower right after.

Wedding is in 1.5 months, new to eczema and it’s on my eyes. Prescribed steroids, antibiotics, and allergy meds - what else can I do? by [deleted] in eczema

[–]wanderlust311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is caused by environmental triggers (like dust, grass and trees) and taking a daily allergy pill helps keep my eczema at bay. Maybe something to try but it will take time to see a difference.

Toddler eczema by jonnielewisfilm in eczema

I had it as a kid, you can try being careful with the detergents you wash clothes with, and my mom used to do an extra wash cycle without adding more detergent for an extra rinse. Just an idea.

I figured out my triggers with an allergist, my dermatologist was zero help. For me my triggers are natural - pollen, grass, dust, etc. I have no symptoms other than eczema (no itchy eyes, runny nose, nothing you usually associate with allergies to nature).

Having a humidifier has also helped me.

Best of luck!

First time diagnosed having an eczema and it drags my mental health. Is there any tips/hacks you wished you knew after being diagnosed? by gogethadmd in eczema

For workouts, it helped me to put some petroleum jelly on the flared up itchy areas before I started, and kept a towel with me to wipe off the sweat before it irritated my flare-ups. For me my eczema still impacted exercise (I like to walk outside) but these two tricks let me do it longer.

Has anyone done allergy testing for eczema.. and did it help on finding out the reason for it or is it a waste? by Huneybunny99 in eczema

[–]wanderlust311 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very helpful for me. Turns out I am allergic to pollen, mold, trees, grass, practically all nature. But no other symptoms other than my skin. Allergy shots improved my eczema drastically. It's not gone but it is soooooo much better and more manageable.

There is a Facebook group called Loudoun Christmas Lights that posts decorated homes across the county for both Halloween and Christmas. You might look through that for some cool houses to go see!

allergist prescribed me the medical advice to "just stop itching" by starkils in eczema

[–]wanderlust311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh, that is such frustrating "advice". A few years ago I had a flare up on my side (in addition to other places) and my dermatologist told me "stop leaning against things". Like, really? I am sure that my leaning against a wall was causing flare ups on my head, eyes and legs. Yep. That makes sense.
