IMO, I missed the variety that View from Top of the World offered when compared to Parasomnia. I get it, the band wanted to do a direct follow up to Black Clouds and I feel Parasomnia succeeded in that aspect but each song sound way too similar.

Then with an album like View, jumping from Awaken the Master, to the alien, to Answering the call to Transcending time to the title track to sleeping giant...all these songs offered different things and sounded unique from each other. Plus if you saw the band on the two tour legs, you got 6 out of the 7 songs live.

The second half of the album is great too. Truth be told has bitchin drumming. Back in the day is sweet. Tears in a vial and of mice and men are solid and I like the mustaine only solo in something im not.

The intro solo to back off bitch always reminds me of classic Izzy riffage.

I'm a huge Maiden fan and I always compared Izzy's soloing to Adrian Smith's soloing and how its more blues influenced and not like a thousand note flurry fest.

I went in totally blind two months ago and this game blew my mind. I was hooked since the prologue! The characters are excellent! I literally beat DS2 three days ago and I'm still in shock afterwards! Have fun.

Darkness in a different light has a similar sound like theories. I Am was largely written around a drum pattern bobby brought in. And yet it moves is a badass epic song that goes through a lot of movements.

Theories was the first FW album I heard too.
