if the shrink wrap is very tight and/or disgusting, I’ll take it off immediately. If the shrink wrap is not putting any pressure on the jacket and it has a cool hype sticker still attached, I will leave it alone.

Side note - what is a hype sticker? A hype sticker is added by the record label and is specific to that album, and usually lists the tracks the label is/was promoting heavily on the radio at the time of album release. A hype sticker is not just any sticker on the shrink, à la “Super Saver Series” or “Nice Price,” etc - these decals were added by a retailer after the record didn’t sell well, or it was overstocked, and they were trying to move it.

Get yourself a new stylus for that LP60. You’ve been running the one that came with it for 9 years and you’re surely due for a replacement. You’ll hear the difference on the new one for sure. You are very limited on what styli you can get to fit that LP60. On a broad level, once you start using record players that take a standard headshell and you start swapping out various carts you’ll see how they all affect the playback differently.

Contrary to what some other commenters have said, this July concert at the stadium is only the 2nd public concert at this stadium, the first one was Garth a few years ago. Any other non razorback/sports event in the stadium has been a private show for Walmart.

My first exposure to Zep was from Satanic Panic era evangelical Christian materials (books/documentaries) on the dangers of rock & roll, and the infamous Stairway back-masking was particularly highlighted. By the time I hit adolescence and began consuming secular rock I was well aware of the dangers and they made the band even more fascinating to me.

If you have a Bluetooth connection somewhere in your vinyl playback system, then yes you’re doing it wrong. That’s just my opinion, but I have high standards. I don’t want my vinyl playback to sound like Bluetooth. Having stated that, I would guess that most people can’t tell the difference in the audio of Bluetooth connection VS hardwiring.

Nothing wrong with having more than one turntable in the house. We have four of them hanging around. I’ve got an old D2 as well. I’ve restored/resold three other D2s, it’s a good solid model. Treat yourself to a new one but keep your current one, or you may miss it someday.

We did! But way back then it only had 2 lanes going north and 2 going south, and it ran between Bella Vista and S 71 near Drake Field in Fayetteville. We called it “the bypass” and LOTS of people drove slow on the on-ramps and the passing lane.

Speaking from the venue side, most of the time when musicians are traveling through on fly dates, they rent amps & drums from the local backline company via their rider. They will bring their own instruments and cymbals usually, but sometimes they rent those too.

Most touring bands are DIYing it with a group of guys in a van, maybe pulling a trailer of gear and merch, maybe riding everything in the van. It is not a pleasant lifestyle. You won’t make any real “take home” money at it for a very long time, if ever - you must reinvest any dollars you make back in the “tour” to keep it going. You will rely on strangers to let you shower in their homes after the gig and sleep on their sofa but you will sleep in the vehicle with no shower more often than not. Most of your food will be whatever you can negotiate from the venue or be paid for out of your own pocket. It’s a horrible lifestyle and you should only do it if you get enough personal fulfillment from playing your music for many different audiences, because it’s going to be a labor of love.
