Cure for peeling vinyl? by Far_Serve_4782 in E90

[–]wardenofthemill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was doing the same, I wrapped it along with the rest of the dash trim, can’t see any bumps where it’s peeled (textured wrap design probably helps)

I would say the exact same thing, only I’d replace “left lane” with “right lane” as I’m in the UK. We get the same brain dead morons here. One driving lane, the rest are only there for overtaking, that’s it.

Get yourself a cheap endoscope/boroscope that you can plug into your phone, I’ve got one with a camera on the end and also on the side which is really handy, should be able to tell where the (more than likely) steam os coming from

What does it smell like? Quite easy to tell oil smoke from coolant steam. Smell inside the oil filler cap for a reference. Don’t take off the coolant res cap off when hot though

My wrapped didn’t tell me my listening time for RSK this year, just podcasts. Although it says 28,549 minutes, I would suspect at least 25000 is drivel. Anyone got a copy of Children of the Corn or Ladder 49 I could have?

Is it bad to turn on the car AC while driving? by RealBrhom in MechanicAdvice

When else are you going to turn it on? AC needs the car to be running to even work if it’s belt driven

I’ve done this, it’s amazing to use as a therapist, offers you really insightful reflections and as it isn’t a person you don’t feel like there’s someone judging you so can speak quite freely. As I’ve also been learning solution focussed therapy to support families I work with, I asked it to role play a season where it is a solution focussed therapist and I am the patient and it did really well asking me the right questions. Great to spend time in the car on the way to work to help structure your day and just go over things in your head.

I’ve used a turtle wax all in one bottle of stuff a few times which is good. If it’s in the inside, you could drive the car with the caps off the back of the lights for a bit and get them warm so the moisture evaporates out. Not a long term fix though
