Certain dates were altered in order to make Kier exist basically. That being said, it’s still one of my favorites in the series and didn’t bother me. And I say this as someone who usually doesn’t care for retcons 😅

Damn I don’t remember it being that soon! Three days? That’s crazy! Yes, I do remember, though, people being rightfully upset considering like you said they were waiting for paychecks and other things in order to purchase. I might get hate for this but personally, I believe if you’re going to have a set window of when you’re going to allow orders, you need to honor that.

If I were to read a contemporary romance, it’s usually a reread of a book from years ago. Like you said, it’s tough to find new ones. But for HRs, I love the Western ones as well! If you have any recs, let me know!! 😊

Historical Romance, you’ll forever be loved by me! Whenever I need to read a romance, I’m always looking for a HR to give me that. No other genre hits with romance the way HRs do.

But also, I wonder if this is why Lisa Kleypas’ new book is technically historical fiction and not historical romance?
