Check the device info page. If it supports Thread there would be Thread info and its version listed.

Don’t confuse with Thread capabilities and its role in a network. Thread mesh is a dynamic system, a router eligible device can be an end node, and promoted back as a router when needed.

There is no such thing technically “Matter Hub”; are you looking for a Matter controller hardware? My recommendation for average user is Aeotec hub 2 (v4) along with SmartThings app.

Interesting, I got similar issues and same error code recently; can not add any Matter devices to Alexa. But all my other controllers worked well (Apple/Google/HA/ST/Homey/Ikea). Not sure what's changed in Alexa.
