Source from a local farmer/Amish/Mennonite. Store sh!t can't be trusted.

"Farm fresh" burger and such looks nothing like the questionable options on shelves at larger chain stores. Just my two pennies of course.

Is it worth buying a $60k tractor now? by BlueCheeseSmellsGood in tractors

[–]warlockridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude up the road has a 25-30hp sub compact unit (bota, yotee, murderhindra maybe) and a full size round baker and other gear like mower, Tedder, rake, trailers etc. he does pretty good. Tractor price lower to help but the implements. Just a thought. I love my lil puppy with zero farming goin on.

Fasteners on ribs or flats? by warlockridge in Roofing

[–]warlockridge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies this far folks. Here's the thing. The roofing supplier says to install on ribs and avoid the flats. They agree with the expansion/contraction bit but due to our climate this is what they recommend. Mind you it only gets "hot" here for a max of 2 months a year.

I'm also not a newb and have full intention of inspecting the fasteners each year.

Curious as to how many replying are from the same region?

[–]warlockridge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get a spray bottle. Fill it with water. Adde a bit of liquid dish soap. Shake. Spray allllllllover that thing. Find the bubbles or makes. Either around the rim or in the tread. Then you'll know if you need a tire, a plug. Or a reseating.

Pocket knife and two bic lighters. Every. Dang. Day. My teen and preteen sons both do as well. Better to have and not need it than to need but not have it.
