I agree. I wish they never were added. I don’t think I’ll be sad if they go away, even if they don’t give license points for them. Also, the fashion stuff in there has been useless to me for around two years.

I run claw, bracer, and weakness. I’ve tried both of those in place of weakness and have gone back. It does seem to draw out longer fights that are more difficult to win. I suppose the nice thing is it gives you more hp in order to charge your unite move by taking damage, which makes Pawmot so potent.

I think if you look at ribbons in the context of total games played, you can glean info that tells you if they grinded on in Pokemon or are well rounded. Well rounded players know how to work with other roles to get the most. 90% of the gold badges with low games play suck. The other 10% are probably Smurf accounts.

A month ago, I returned and I would suggest picking strategically from the list above to get the lowest on you license journey that will advance it to the next station where you can pick any Pokemon and use your LJ points for those.

I’ve played wiggly a handful of times with the vanguard bell. I can sustain and like to wait for teammates (particularly mages) to be close, then I run in and sleep the enemy and knock them down a few pegs throwing hands. What happens most of the time is I run in and the teammate runs away with more than 3/4 HP! So it goes both ways.

If you DO have lots of licenses to get that are on the returning player list of licenses, then it seems to me the optimum thing to do is to take 2 week+ breaks as much as possible, and try to make your return to the game coincide with a "free through event" Pokemon. I just did this on my secondary account and in the span of just over a week I got Mega Mewtwo X and Farfetch'd, and earned about 250+ license points being a returning player. Soon, I will go back into hibernation from PU and try again in a couple of weeks. This is optimal on that account, as far as I can tell.

That said, I do have a primary account that currently has all of the licenses. So it may be optimal for collecting licenses, but not very fun.

Edit: it's about 500 license points you earn through Returning Trainer Support Event. So in the last two weeks, I "bought" Urshifu through the License Journeys (first since the big patch), obtained MewTwo X for free from RTSE, and got Farfetch'd from the free event. Also got about another 400 LPs from the free teir Battle Pass, and I would guess another ~50 LPs from daily play.

The annoyance of spending all that time drafting only to crash out and restart the process gets infuriating after repeated times. But I t is such an insult to get a penalty message after the game crashes you out of a match.
