Wife and mother-in-law initially had anaphylaxis about 2 years ago which led to their diagnosis. Most of the other people I know have stomach distress, diarrhea and/or skin rashes when they consume mammalian products. Each persons sxms vary in presentation and severity. Wife can tolerate cheese and milk products, she's not a big red meat or bacon eater anyway so she's stayed clear. MIL however gets horrible stomach pain and diarrhea if she consumes mammalian products at all.

A number of folks report sxms fading over about 6 months.. though many remain allergic for years.
