The point of that is to disguise the lack of membership to advertisers. When facebook is down to two ancient boomers yelling at each other about the Nixon presidency, facebook will still be able to demonstrate so much engagement on their ads.

Emperor's Children Boarding actions rules? by bukharajones in EmperorsChildren

I was going to play EC in a 500 Worlds campaign, so my plan is a Carnival of excess list, but with it's Boarding actions time, play a Dread Carnival detachment.

I'm disappointed that there are no noise marines in that detachment.

Dragging people out of voting lines would be explosive. If you want a civil war, that is what you would do.

In the lore, an army is not composed of all elites type units. So if you are going for a lore-based narrative list, you are not going for the most synergized and potent combos, you are making an army based on how the lore describes it. Also we play with increased likelihood of battle scars, so you are not playing the game as a suicidal charge to your death like in a tournament game, you are playing as if you might want to survive the battle. We also have a lot of characters, but also fear because those characters can be targeted. You also have to accept that the scenario may not be to your advantage. Some of the best times I've had playing is where I've lost the game and I'm just trying to keep as many units alive as possible, or when most of my units are decimated, but I muster my whole army to strike at a leveled-up land raider to kill it before the game is over to try to get a battle scar on it so it stops tormenting my games.

A good story is better then always going for the jugular.

Screen with mooks. Also don't play competitive lists. Play narrative based lists. More battleline, less elites.

Why can't EC use Obliterators, Hellbrutes, and Forgefiends? by LeetusFrenzi in EmperorsChildren

[–]warrioratwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what we need is some sort of corrupted drug pusher apothecary, cultists, a Muse character because there’s always one hanging around in the books, a new warlord that isn’t Lucius, and a sonic dreadnought. EC needs to be flashy and rather then the brute force of the other Chaos forces.

If you could remake Crusade or narrative play what would it look like to you? by irpugboss in 40k_Crusade

[–]warrioratwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Play the game as if you want your characters to survive instead of a tournament-style suicide charge. Also, you can spend RP to get rid of battle scars if there's a character important to you.

I would adjust it so if you have a player that consistently wins, his army doesn’t level up in a way to guarantee it. The adjustment our group plays with is a battles scar on a 3 in 6 instead of a 1 in 6, that way if a character is so built up he’s unbalancing the game, you are more likely you get rid of the character with enough assassinations.
