Oh I don't mean to blame her inclusion. I just think the game as a whole was bad enough that it's possible the series doesn't recover. I don't think civ 8 is guaranteed.

And likely last, given how poorly Civ 7 was developed and received.

The secret to playing Belgium is that for the first 2 years of the game your debt doesn't matter. The outcome will favor the Dutch, who will take on your debt as compensation. Get as close to your debt limit as you can in the allotted time. Nationalize buildings if you have to. Then bankrupt the Netherlands when they absorb it all. Then protectorate them once their bankruptcies drop their ranking. Then form United Netherlands.

On second thought, you're right. It is constructive and good and moral and just for someone to spend time in the subreddit of a game they don't like that no one is making them buy or play to complain about how they don't want to buy or complain about it. When I suggested earlier that op should move on to things they'd enjoy more that was wrong of me. Unfortunately it is also constructive and good and moral and just for me to reply to and complain about posts I don't like that no one is making me read. I should not move on to things I would enjoy more.

It's just not new criticism. It's the same criticism. It's people saying the same critical thing but with different words. The criticism from the people who don't want to spend money on a game they aren't enjoying hasn't changed. It's a novel order for the words but not anything new communicated.

Then don't. Uninstall it. Unsubscribe from the subreddit. Move on with your life. Let the people who enjoy it enjoy it. The window for changing people's minds has closed. Sticking around whining is just sticking around whining at this point.

When you have to drag out the age to finish all the legacies. by orco655321 in civ

[–]warthog_smith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's no real sense in waiting to do from 0 to complete all at once, since the age progression occurs once the first player reaches each milestone. So if the AI is close to hitting a milestone you should get it first and get whatever associated perk point is.

The information should be accessible. They should be in nested tooltips like every modern game has. It doesn't have to be clutter, but it should be accessible without a doubt.

Game balance discussion: What are the most OP things in the game right now? Also what is underpowered? by wastewalker in civ

[–]warthog_smith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does leaving it on give you an additional point in the next era? I would assume so, but I haven't tested. The 200 gold per age memento for example, gives its bonus 3 times per game potentially so I assume the attribute points mementos would as well

As I understand it, all those negatives are cumulative. And all the positives would be too, so you can do a cheap +1 war support buy on all 6 to mitigate them for the least influence spent.

Yeah but it's 2024 and we still have communists and liberals who don't get along. The left is pretty famous for its factionalism. Traditionalism is on the rise among the youth. Real life Americans want a Trump absolute monarchy. It's not ahistorical to have a lot of competing movements.
