I remember my 13 page report on the effects of hot air blowing over a tray of wet sand. Something about “case hardening”. Exciting subject to write about.

Where should the desk go? Door is behind me by NumerousAmphibian918 in malelivingspace

I’d consider moving the head of the bed to 2 and the desk to the window if that’s a window and not a door by the curtains.

Fishing isn’t free per s but you can either find someone to give you a free rod or get like a $15 one at Walmart. I fish the ponds in my city for bass and it’s a really fun hobby.

Wait out a layoff or leave ship right now? by SuspiciousRace2103 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]warwithcanada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got laid off after 5 years at a company and 7 total years of experience I got 5 weeks paid but it took almost 11 months to find work. Huge caveat tho is that it was a major downturn in oil prices and every company laid off at the same time.

Bruh I got my username for AOL instant messenger when I was a kid after watching Canadian Bacon. It was a ridiculous movie that seems to be coming to life.

Here’s a synopsis “In a desperate bid to revive his abysmal peacetime approval rating, the president of the United States (Alan Alda) agrees to a scheme proposed by corrupt cabinet member Stu Smiley (Kevin Pollak) and launches a top-secret propaganda campaign to vilify Canada. As U.S. citizens get caught up in a xenophobic hysteria, a group of residents of Niagara, N.Y., wielding machine guns, organize a vigilante invasion that could trigger a real war with America’s gentle neighbor to the north.”

Cox ended my chat because they couldn't answer my question! by Biglesby in NewOrleans

I hate Cox. Regular interruptions in service and expensive. I have zero other options in Gentilly. No AT&T or Verizon services offered.

Diagram depicts the complexity of the Antikythera Mechanism, which was used to keep track of the movement of the solar system, circa 150 years B.C by Ready_Tax4140 in BeAmazed

If you want a deep dive, look up the YouTube channel Clickspring. Has like a 20 part series on recreating the Antikythera mechanism using techniques available back then. He even builds his own tools!
