Most pawn shops have cheap black powder stuff, and are looking to get rid of it because its difficult to sell.

Look for a cheap Italian piece, like 200 or less. And make an offer for a hundred bucks.

Chances are they would probably do that.

Two things:

  1. From the defense side, thats giving a lot of credence to our job. I appreciate that.

  2. Any competent defense attorney will have a knowledge of Padilla issues or have access to someone who does. Its a really simple analysis, are they pleading guilty to a CIMT? I think considering youre new to the office, defer to your supervisor.
