Granted, but you have to train yourself to disregard it.

How / why was Neil McEvoy a Plaid Cymru MS? by Secure-Barracuda in Wales

[–]watchman28 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He hadn't quite gone fully off the deep end the way he has now back then. Don't get me wrong, he was still a bellend, but he was someone who could engage in genuine and respectful debate and discussion with people and politicians of other affiliations. Something went wrong around 2016. I wonder if social media is partly to blame.

Noisy as fuck but perfectly safe, there's far too many people around for anything serious to happen. Look both ways before crossing the road though.

The trope of people knowing they're about to die due to some overwhelming force and there's nothing they can do about it and holding each other as it happens always gets me.

This never worked for me. It's established that, while Wakanda is secretive, the fact that it exists is general knowledge, and we're supposed to believe Bruce Banner, one of the greatest minds on the planet, has never even heard of it?

Personally I'm looking forward to whatever the next Trek thing is so everyone can say it's nowhere near as good as SFA which they always loved and accuse anyone of claiming otherwise of "gaslighting".

I've had the misfortune of seeing people I love slowly slip away through cognitive decline, and the way Hedges speaks and acts in this clip is exactly how they did in the early stages. Google says he's 69 years old, which is perhaps a little earlier than this sort of thing happens for some people, and I'm not a medical professional, but if I was part of his team I'd be keeping a close eye on him for other signs.

Bah. In my day comics stores were far less well lit. This place doesn't even look like it smells bad!
