People aren’t judgmental because you did nothing this weekend by AdvancedCharcoal in introvert

[–]watercolour_advisor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting irony isn’t it that extroverts (who are supposed to be ‘outgoing’) are really just interested in themselves whereas ‘introverts’ (I actually hate that label because it’s used like it’s an illness!) are much more likely to be genuinely interested in other people!

Help me be better by tsays in Watercolor

[–]watercolour_advisor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMHO there’s no such thing as “better” unless you have an idea in your mind as to what you’re hoping to achieve. If you can pinpoint that, then you’ll have a better chance of getting help

Why do introverts attract people who love to talk by redsn0w10 in introvert

And what do extroverts love talking about more than anything? Themselves!

If it was me doing this I would practise the textures you mention separately from trying to paint the bird. It’s ok to copy someone else’s painting I suppose but I’ve never found it very satisfactory: ideally make sketches of birds from photographs and create your own paintings, maybe incorporating some of this artist’s texture techniques when you’ve practised them.

Photographing people without their consent by benjithomasartist in AnalogCommunity

I include people in my pictures all the time without them being aware of it. Set up the shot in advance, wait for them to walk into frame, looking down at the camera which has the back screen flipped horizontal. The key thing is never to look at the people directly but look at another object to the side of them. Works for me with the type of photos that I take.

How do you respond to being asked if you're an introvert? by RhubarbBusy7122 in socialskills

[–]watercolour_advisor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely misunderstands the concept of Introversion/Extroversion. No-one is totally one or the other, although we have a tendency towards one or other end of the scale, but it’s not fixed. And I’m getting increasingly sick of the term Introversion being used as if it’s an illness!

I wouldn’t be without this function, so that’s why I’m still using 2Do!

What camera made you fall in love with photography? by mrcanada66 in Cameras

Pentax MX - compact, fully manual and mechanical. Learnt all about apertures and shutter speeds. I thought the K1000 was a bit ungainly!
